With Daphne being Dawsons sister, they could never be. Right? Well all things change when junior year drama brings Pacey closer to her and makes them reconsider everything that was though...
"Well maybe Joey could talk her out of it" I tell him reassuringly.
"No, I don't want to make her not date. I'm just upset that I thought I couldn't."
"Well maybe she should still, he sucks" Jen says.
"He does, it might be good to talk her out of it" I agree.
"Joey said she already tried but that she won't budge" Pacey tells me. "This guy really sucks."
"Maybe Jen and I could talk to her" I reassure.
"Would that work" Jen asks.
"Maybe" I shrug.
"Just don't let her date this asshole" Pacey says. "I still do care about her wellbeing."
I let my pinky out and he shakes it, it is official. I will talk to her about it.
Jen and I drive over to her house as quickly as we can, the date is tonight apparently.
We get in and she sits us down.
"What's up guys" she says smiling.
"We heard you got a date tonight" Jen says.
"Which is great and all, we are just concerned with who it is" I tell her.
"With rob? I really don't see the problem. He's such a sweetheart."
"We beg us differ on that" Jen tells her.
"Joeys told us stories about him, he's really creepy to her and other women. I would trust it" I say trying to comfort her the best I can.
"Trust it? Can I trust you? I mean it's like you're trying to steal any chance I have with Pacey anyways" she says starting to stand up.
"Like you still have a chance" Jen defends.
"Jen" I say shocked. I give her a look to calm down. "Andie I am in no way trying to go out with Pacey, we are just friends. I am not interested, and you should see that I'm not trying to. And I'm stealing? He's not property. I hope you make the right decision Andie" I say as I walk away.
"Rob sucks, Andie you need to know that" Jen follows behind me.
We go back to my house, but Jen decides it's time to confront Jack about the whole thing.
I see Pacey is still at my house, just with Dawson with him.
"What did she say" he asks.
"It's cool" I try to play it off. I didn't want to bring more drama.
I try to go back up to my room.
"You are not a good actor" Dawson says.
"Dawson" I say giving him a piercing look.
"What" he smiles.
"Never mind" I say walking up the stairs.
I didn't want to cause more drama. I also regret confronting Andie like that, she didn't need that.
Jack and jen come over and we watch tv on my couch, Dawson and Pacey are upstairs playing video games.
We hear a knock at my door. I open it to find Joey and Andie.
"Daphne I'm so sorry I was so mean earlier and you all were right. Rob does suck" she begins crying.
"Oh Andie" I say hugging her. I nod Joey in and she sits on the couch.
She bawls in my arms and tells me what happened.
Dawson and Pacey come down the stairs.
Pacey comes up next to us.
"Are you alright Andie" he asks.
She looks at him and nods no.
"Let's go talk" he tells her as they walk outside.
I look at the others.
"That was a lot at once" Jen says.
"They'll figure it out" Jack shrugs and continues watching tv.
"I hope so, I'm not getting involved in that" I say plopping myself back onto the couch. Joey sits next to Jack and Dawson on the other side, there's still tension there a bit too.
"Jack and Jen, want to go into the kitchen" I ask.
"Why" Jack asks.
"Come on Jack" Jen drags him.
It is left with the two of them, but they begin talking. We try not to listen in.
About ten minutes later, we walk in and they seem a little more comfortable around each other. That was what we needed.
Andie and Pacey walk back in too, they seem a bit better.
"So is everything alright" I ask the group.
"Yes" they all collectively say.
They all leave slowly.
Andie goes back home, Joey gives her a ride. Jen and Jack walk back. It's just the three of us left.
"So what happened? Is everything okay" I ask Pacey.
"We went out and talked things over. She is okay, but we worked through things too. We've decided to become friends, but nothing more. We both want different things. We've both moved on" he says.
"Wow Pacey good job" Dawson congratulates him. "I'm surprised you made it through that."
"I'm glad things worked out" I smile. "And I can't believe that Pacey didn't mess that up at all."
We hangout for a while, but I head up to my room and go to bed.
I wonder who his move in will be with.
