Walker's pov:
I walked back to the table I thought back to what happened between me and y/n when a wave of realization washed over me. I tried to kiss y/n.
You idiot. What the fuck is wrong with you?!
As I sat down Leena spoke which snapped me out of my trance, "Where's y/n?" she asked, "Oh uh she's still in the bathroom.." "Probably fixing her make up from all the making ou-" Tanner intervened but I kicked him under the table cause him to shriek. "Tanner are you okay?" my mom asked, "Super." Tanner groaned.
y/n's pov:
What the hell just happened?! I don't know whether to puke or squeal. The boy who I have hated for most of life just tried to kiss me and I'm.. not.. mad? Like I wanted to punch him in his stupid face for even thinking about kissing me but at same time I kinda wish he did.
Ugh why I'm losing my mind over this boy?!
I stood there for a minute trying to compose myself.
Okay okay y/n just walk and sit down and.. act like everything is normal.
I walked back to the table and I could feel Walker's eyes on me but when I sat down he sifted his gaze to his food. "You okay sweetie?" my dad asked, I turned to him, "Yeah just glad that I got the stain out." I laughed nervously.
As the night went on I felt Walker's gaze on me but the but when turn to him he quickly looks away. Just as the dinner was wrapping up I felt a hand on my thigh, I looked down to see Walker handing me a napkin. Confused I took it and opened it, 'You look cute when you blush.' was written on it and at the bottom was his number.
Before I could reply Mrs. Scobell spoke, "It was an amazing dinner and it was such a pleasure to see you again y/d/n." "Same to you!" my dad said as they began to leave I turned to Walker who was getting up but he looked down at me and winked before catching up with his family.
"Ready to go sweetie?" my dad said looking at me, "Um yeah let's go." I said quickly as I got up and walked quickly to the exist, "Okay?" he said as he followed me. On the drive home the only thing I could think about was Walker. I don't know if this some kind of joke or if he.. actually likes me..
Wait. Do I like Walker?
"Y/n are you okay? You seem quite after dinner." my dad asked. I snapped out of my trance, "Yeah." "Are sure that Walker kid isn't bothering you again?" he asked, "No dad." "Okay. That's good to hear." He nodded.
When we got home my dad immediately went to bed while got changed into pj's, hoped into bed and started scrolling on tiktok. After a while I took out the napkin Walker had given me earlier.
Should I text him?
As I was stared at the number I heard I tap on my window. I jolted back in fear but walked over to my window. I opened my curtains to find Walker hanging outside my window. I quickly opened my window, "Walker what the hell are you doing?!" I whisper yelled trying not to wake my dad. "I'll tell you but first could you let me in?" he whispered, I helped him climb inside.
"Now answer my question why are you here?" I said as I crossed my arms, "To finish what I started." he said out of breath, "What the fuck does that supposed to-" Suddenly he crushed his lips into mine, he pulled away briefly, "God do you ever shut up?" he said before kissing me again. He placed both of his hands on my waist pulling me close, his lips soft and his movements were gentle. I was stunned for a minute before I kissed him back deepening the kiss, placing my hands on his behind his neck.
The kiss was sweet and passionate, for a moment if felt like time and space just stopped entirely and it was just me and Walker. Even though I hated him, I wanted to stay like this forever. When he pulled away we were both breathless. I stared at him for a while and so did he.
He licked his lips before speaking, "Uhh.. I've gotta head back before mom realizes I'm gone." He laughed nervously. He walked back to the windows and began to climb out, but he turned to me with sly smile, "Goodnight cupcake." was the last thing he said before climbing down and headed towards his house.
I just stood there, my mouth hang open from what just happened. I exhaled as I didn't realize I was holding my breath, "Holy shi-" I exclaimed before covering my mouth quickly to prevent my dad from waking up.
