Another day of sitting in here with my legs in the air and arm bound to a chair. At some point my feet and hand started to hurt. Pretty sure my blood regulation stopped.
My head started spinning making my eyes unfocused and hazy. I think my blood pressure is below low at this point.
And my bladder. Damn that thing. It feels like a whole damp is behind their waiting for me to release and I'm obviously not going to do that in the open with my legs wide.
Closing my tired eyes I began thinking about the kids back at the safe house. They should be fine right now. Oliver, Jack, Mia and Lexi are training them or preparing them for their assassin mission. And Flora, Elexa and Nina are taking care of the kids till the age of 10. Everyone above is training, studying or working part time.
All those kids are like me. From the age of ...months to the age of 18 they are kids who where abused. Doesn't matter witch kind they where abused. So we've rescued them and brought them to the safe house in the mountains witch isn't actually a mountain. We just used the technology and made it look like mountain deep in the forest with a sigh. "Beware of dangerous animals".
Those 'dangerous animals' are our pets. We have lions, tigers, bears, snakes, owls, eagles. You name them we got them. Every kid who is above the age 8 gets to have a pet to bond with.
We the supervisors guide the kids there and let them look around the land where the resting animals are staying while the guarding ones guard the territory. When they found one the like, we let them go in and bond with one or more of that said animal.
Don't worry. It's totally safe. All of animals are friendly toward us. We found them either hurt, about to die or as a baby and took care of them.
When the kids have chosen, they get 3 times a week class and practice about their bonded animal and when their 10 we tattoo a little face of the bonded animal on their hand. I have a lion named Rosé and 2 tigers named Starla, the cub and Kira, her mother, as pets and their tattoos on my body along with the rest of the tattoos
All this process started when I was 13. I was wandering towards a house and heard yelling and things being trowd around and checked it out and saw a girl being physically and mentally abused by her mom and dad.
With the help of my shadows I got the girl out and she told me she knew a guy who could keep her safe. That's when I saw the safe house and the animals for the first time. The guy was her dhampir uncle and he help us with the rest of the kids and made it into a organization called Rising Phoenix.
Sadly he died when I was 15 and appointed me as the new leader when he and Nina the girl I helped learned about my shadow powers.
And to think all this is happening under the nose of The Royals and they know nothing about it or they just can't be bothered with the info.
