Checking in

The Fiorello twins stayed in Miami working under Tej. Juniper was a common sight inside the garage. She was deemed the guard dog of Tej and his garage. She was always seen either under a car working in the shop or out front cooking on the grill. She decided to trim up her hair as time passed.

Cedar had decided to dye his hair black but kept the same haircut. He dressed and played as a face for Tej's Business deals on the legal side. He was usual always in the office typing away. He would come out for meals but would go back in to continue going through documents. He was commonly seen in a suit and tie to seem professional.

"How are my favorite twins this fine day." Tej asked as he saw Juniper sipping a coffee at her work station.

"We are good but have you heard from Brian?" Cedar answered putting his sunglasses on top of his head.

"I haven't in a few weeks. He must be busy with everything on the west coast." Tej said watching them trade cups. Cedar walked away with the coffee after handing Juniper some kinda fruit juice.

"Well I might give him a call. He knows better than not to check in with me." Juniper said walking to her shared house boat. She called and waited.

"Hello Jun how can I help you today? I'm a little busy right now." Brian said as soon as he saw Junipers false name call. He agreed to keep them a secret.

"You are past your check in time." She said plainly. Brian sighed.

"I've been caught up with this case and I am going to a funeral." Brian said sadly.

"Do you need me to come there?" She said leaning against the wall.

"No. No. I don't want you anywhere near this. I have already hurt too many people with this." Brian said refusing to even have the possibility of the twins involved. Juniper growled at his response.

"Dammit, Brian. You better be safe. If you aren't, Whoever is causing this dangerous situation that you have put yourself in I will end them." Juniper said grinding her teeth.

"I will stay safe. I have to go the funeral is about to start. I'll touch base in a couple of days." Brian said placating to Juniper.

"You better. If you don't, I am driving there and inserting myself into the problem." She said hanging up the phone.

She walked out to the garage and pulled out a series of papers. She was not thrilled with Brian joining the feds. She understood why he did it. Cedar walked over to the series of papers she had and grabbed the top one.

"A will and testament dear sister?" He asked surprised.

"Yes dear brother while I might be strong I'm not immortal." She said having him read the papers.

"You name me first and Tej second. In the last few years you have been thinking haven't you?" Cedar said sadly looking at his sister.

"Yes. While I hope to not lose you or myself. I need you to be took care of if I ever leave you. If you pass before me I have chosen Tej to be our next of kin." Juniper said. Cedar nodded his head and walked over to Tej to begin talking about the papers.

"Tej Just so you are aware Juniper and I are naming you as our next of kin should anything happen to us." Cedar said showing the papers.

"I am surprised to hear this." Tej said reading the papers. Cedar nodded and walked to his truck to notarize the will at a local office.

The twins finished squaring away the will and walked over to the waters edge at the dock. Juniper smiled at the water as the waves rolled and people swam in the distance. Cedar looked at his sister who currently looked at peace. He smiled and turned to walk back in. He heard a phone ring and turned to see Juniper picked up her cell Phone.

"Roman good to hear from you." She said turning and walking towards the houseboat.

"Yes I know you will hunt my ass down if I don't." Roman said.

" You are correct. You eating and staying outta trouble?" She said.

"Yeah or as much as I can." Roman replied.

"Good Keep it that way otherwise you will be summarily hunted down. I always find my targets. I will let you be just check in again soon." She said hanging up afterwards. She walked and laid down on the couch and put her arm over her eyes. She sighed tiredly.

Cedar went into the office and put the file in his personal lockbox. He sighed but laid his head on the desk. His sister was thinking ahead of what could happen but she always put the family over everything else. He wasn't getting younger but he had no plans to settle down yet. Juniper wasn't worried about what tomorrow would bring but she smiled at the thoughts of her growing family. She considered Tej, Brian, and Roman as brothers in arms.

It was check in day for Brian but he was running the operation and going to patch up Dom. He drove them to Mia and he pulled out his phone and began to scroll down to her contact. As he began to call after asking for a minute Dom called his phone from Letty's phone. Dom began beating Brian up and Brian's phone skidded across the floor. The altercation ended and as he grabbed his phone he pulled up Juniper's number and rang her up.

"You almost missed the time again." She said.

"Yeah wasn't exactly to plan but I'm calling as agreed." Brian said.

"Well my brother in arms. You gained yourself a few days before I insert myself. You stay out of trouble." She said hanging up afterword. She walked over and began working on a manifold that flew off and went into work mode.

Cedar was in the office when he received a call from Roman doing his check in with Cedar as Juniper was working. He smirked at how exasperated he sounded.

"Do you always act like this with Jun or am I special?" Cedar said smiling at the thought of his dear brother in arms being annoyed.

"Nah she gets this quite often. I'm surprised I got you this time." Roman said Cedar laughed and nodded. They hung up once they confirmed that everything was all good and Cedar walked out to the boat and smirked as Juniper was hard at work cursing the owner of the car.

Days had passed and the twins were hard at work. They hadn't heard from Brian and Roman in several days but they let it be as both seemed busy with work the last they had heard from them. Juniper had jut finished work on installing fuel injector lines on another car and walked out to get some air. Cedar was deep into paperwork when Tej walked in.

"Man we been busy the last few days." Tej said smirking at the permits for an extension to the garage. They smiled at each other and they heard a phone ring.

"Hello Brian. Good to hear from you." Juniper said smirking.

"Well I am getting into trouble. I will be going into hiding. If I need any help I will call right away." Brian Lead right out the gate with that.

"Brian you always find trouble. Call me for anything I will be there. Cedar not far behind." She said disconnecting and deleting the number as Brian chucked the phone.
