"Trying to escape little snake" said the dragon king. "Did you really think I would let you go that easily"
Tightening his hand on the robe beside heart little snake narrowed his eyes at the dragon.
"You..." He spoke through pain. "What have you d...
"Where is that little liar?" After the Bai Zi goddess left, the dragon king started looking for the little snake. He found him outside, near the dining table, setting up dinner.
"There you are, little one" the dragon king said, his eyes falling on the meal the little snake had prepared. It was clear he had put more effort into it than usual.
"Come, I made all your favorites" the little snake said presenting a sweet smile.
"You're so thoughtful" the dragon king said stepping closer to him.
"Haha" The little snake laughed nervously as the dragon king gently brushed a strand of hair away from his face, his fingers tracing softly down his cheek. "How could I not be?" The little snake said.
"You know, little one" the dragon king said, his fingers tracing down from the little snake's face to his neck.
The little snake felt a faint, stinging pain where the dragon king's fingers touched him. He realized the dragon king was using dragon blood again.
"I really hate being deceived" the dragon king continued. "But you’re surprisingly very good at it"
The dragon king suddenly grabbed the little snake's neck tightly. "How dare you lie to me?" he asked. "Did you really think I wouldn't find out who you are?"
The little snake's hands clutched at the dragon king's hand trying to pry it off. "You tried to fool me, just like you fooled others" said the dragon king.
Struggling, the little snake began to scratch at the dragon king's hand. Finally, the dragon king let go, and the little snake collapsed onto the floor, coughing. He touched his neck where the dragon king grabbed, rubbing it.
"So what, if I tell you" he said slowly standing up. "Does that change anything? Does that change the fact that you caged me here? does that change the fact that you threatening me with your blood? Or your crazy plan that you want me to learn dragon skills when I'm not even a dragon?"
"I don't care" the little snake shouted, cutting him off. "I don't care what the hell you're planning, If killing you is the only way to free myself, then I'll kill you"
The Dragon King let out a mocking smile. "You don't have that kind of power"
"Just wait and see" the little snake shot back. "And for your information, I didn't TRY to fool you, l DID fool you"
The little snake turned to leave but stopped, walked back to the table, and knocked all the food onto the floor. "Starve to death" he spat before storming away.

The dragon king sat at the dining table, staring at the scratch on his hand left by the little snake.
"I'm the one who got fooled, so why do I feel like the bad guy?" he muttered.
The dragon king always has been short tempered and aggressive but he has a soft spot for the little snake. He only wanted to scare him a little, not expecting the snake to lash out like that. Did the little snake really hate staying by his side that much?
Looking at the food scattered across the floor he let out a sign.

"Little one" the dragon king called softly, pushing the door open with a plate of buns in hand.
The little snake was sitting by the window, staring at the sky. At the sound of the dragon king's voice, he turned his head briefly, then huffed and looked away.
The dragon king walked over and placed the plate beside him.
"We’re leaving the valley tomorrow" he said.
"I don’t want to go to town just to stroll around" the little snake replied still looking away.
"Not to the town" the dragon king said. "We are going further, The goddess needs help with something and since you don’t want to stay here either..."
"Like I could stay here while you’re gone" the little snake muttered under his breath.
The dragon king sighed and patted his head gently. "You’ll get to meet your friends while you're out"
"I don’t have friends" the little snake said.
"Then make some new ones" the dragon king suggested.
"I don’t want to" came the stubborn reply.
"Alright" the dragon king said with a little smile. "Just be ready, We’re leaving early tomorrow"
Once the dragon king had left, the little snake glanced at the plate of buns. Hesitantly, he poked one with his finger.
"Did he actually make these?" he murmured to himself and he took one taking a big bite.
"Ugh!" He spat it out almost immediately, scrunching his face in disgust.
"How can a bun taste this bad? What did he even stuff in this?" he said, holding the offending bun at arm's length.
"If I don’t make the food, he’s definitely going to die of food poisoning one day"
The little snake stared at the bun thoughtfully for a moment before muttering, "Maybe that's a good plan to kill him too"
