My phone rings for the nth time as I try to climb up the stairs as fast as I can, out of all days the elevator had to be out of service TODAY, wearing the heavy lehenga seems to add to the misery, I open the door to the hall and see my whole family...

Vahni POV:
I'm lounging on my couch, enjoying a well-deserved break after the wedding celebrations. It's Wednesday, and my flight back to Mumbai is on Saturday. I need to start packing soon, but for now, I'm just relaxing.
As I scroll through my phone, I receive a text from Vihaan. "Hey, Vahni. I want you to wear something nice and meet me in the park at 5 pm. Don't be late!"
I'm taken aback by the sudden request. What's going on? Why does Vihaan want me to dress up and meet him in the park? I try to brush off the confusion and focus on packing my stuff.
I get up from the couch and start packing, but my mind keeps wandering back to Vihaan's text. What does he have planned?
After finishing my packing, I take a shower and get dressed in a beautiful yellow sundress. I do my hair and makeup, feeling like a million bucks.
As I arrive at the park, I see Vihaan standing by a beautiful picnic setup. There's a tent, a blanket, and a basket of food. Vihaan looks up and smiles as he sees me.
"Wow, Vahni. You look stunning," Vihaan says, walking towards me.
I blush and look away, feeling a little shy. "Thanks, Vihaan. You don't look so bad yourself."
Vihaan chuckles and takes my hand, leading me to the picnic setup. We sit down together, and Vihaan starts pouring me a glass of juice.
As we sit there, enjoying each other's company, Vihaan suddenly gets up and walks over to the picnic basket. He pulls out a small box and walks back over to me.
"Vahni, from the moment I met you, I knew that you were someone special," I'm taken aback by Vihaan's words. I had no idea he felt this way.
"Vahni, will you marry me?" Vihaan asks, looking into my eyes.
I'm shocked. We're not even dating, and he's asking me to marry him? I look at Vihaan, trying to process what's happening.
"But Vihaan, we're not even dating," I say, trying to sound calm.
Vihaan smiles and takes my hand. "Of course, we'll date, Vahni. But eventually, we'll get married someday. So, I'm asking the bigger question first."
I laugh, feeling a little silly. "Vihaan, you're crazy."
Vihaan grins. "Maybe. But I know what I want, Vahni. And I want you."
I look into Vihaan's eyes, and I see the sincerity there. I know that he's not joking around.
"Yes, Vihaan. I'll marry you," I say, smiling.
Then I see the ring. It's a beautiful diamond solitaire, sparkling in the sunlight. I gasp in surprise, feeling a little overwhelmed.
Vihaan's face lights up with joy, and he slips the ring onto my finger. It fits perfectly, and I feel a sense of excitement and happiness.
He pulls me into a tight hug. We kiss, and it feels like the whole world has come to a standstill.
As we pull back, Vihaan smiles and takes my hand. "I'm so happy, Vahni."
I smile back, feeling happy and content. "Me too, Vihaan."
I feel like I'm on cloud nine. I look down at the ring, feeling a sense of wonder and excitement.
"It's beautiful," I say, smiling up at Vihaan.
Vihaan smiles back, his eyes shining with happiness. "I'm glad you like it," he says.
We sit there for a while, enjoying each other's company. We talk about our plans for the future, and how we'll make our long-distance relationship work.
I'm a little worried about how we'll manage, but Vihaan reassures me. "We'll make it work, Vahni. We'll talk every day, and I'll come to Mumbai to see you whenever I can."
I smile, feeling a little better. "Okay, Vihaan."
As the sun starts to set, Vihaan drives me back home. As we pull up to my house, Vihaan turns to me and smiles.
"Since you're leaving on Saturday, I was thinking we could have our first date on Friday," Vihaan says, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
I laugh, feeling a little silly. "Our first date? Vihaan, we just got engaged."
Vihaan grins. "I know. But I still want to take you out on a proper date. So, be ready for Friday."
I smile, feeling happy and excited. "I'll be ready, Vihaan."
Vihaan leans in and kisses me, his lips warm and gentle. I feel a spark of electricity run through my body, and I know that I'm in trouble.
As we pull back, Vihaan smiles and gets out of the car. "I'll pick you up at 7 pm on Friday," he says, walking me to my front door.
I nod, feeling happy and excited. "I'll be ready."
"Hey, Vahni? How do you think we should let our friends know about our engagement?" he asks.
I think for a moment. "I don't know... maybe we could just post something on social media?" I suggest.
Vihaan nods. "That's a good idea. But I also want to tell Veer and Vishaal in person. They're my best friends, and I want to share the news with them personally."
I nod in agreement. "That's a good idea. I'll tell Vanya and the others when I see them next."
Vihaan smiles. "Sounds like a plan."
He smiles and kisses me again, his lips warm and gentle. I feel a spark of electricity run through my body, and I know that I'm in love again with the same person.
