Option 1: Focus on the Talent Show “We’re good at performing together,” Aditya argued. “If we nail the show, it’ll be something to remember forever.”
“But if we mess up the project, we’ll regret it later,” Priya countered.
Option 2: Prioritize the Taj Mahal Model “Fine, we ditch the show,” Aakash said reluctantly. “But then we’re giving up something we love.”
The group stared at each other, torn between their passions and responsibilities.
A Plan Emerges
“Wait,” Aushi said, her eyes lighting up. “What if we combine the two?”
“Combine? How?” Priya asked.
Aushi leaned forward. “What if our talent show entry is about the Taj Mahal? We could create a dance or skit inspired by its history and construction. It’s unique and educational, and we can use part of the model as our stage prop.”
Aditya’s eyes widened. “That’s brilliant! It’ll be like killing two birds with one stone.”
“But it means double the effort,” Aakash said cautiously.
“True,” Aushi admitted. “But we’ll split up. Priya and I can start on the model, while Aditya and Aakash work on the choreography. Then, we’ll all pitch in to merge the two.”
“Let’s do it,” Priya said, smiling.
The Execution
For the next three days, their after-school hours were a whirlwind of activity. Priya and Aushi spent late nights crafting the Taj Mahal from foam, clay, and paint, ensuring it captured the monument’s elegance.
Meanwhile, Aditya and Aakash perfected their choreography, incorporating classical Indian movements to tell the story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal.
By the final night, they gathered to practice together, using the half-finished model as their backdrop.
“It’s all coming together,” Priya said, stepping back to admire their work.
“Yeah,” Aakash agreed, though he looked exhausted. “We’re going to pull this off.”
The Big Day
The auditorium was packed for the talent show. The group stood backstage, nerves running high.
“Remember,” Aushi whispered, “we’re not just performing—we’re telling a story.”
Their act began with dimmed lights and a narration of the Taj Mahal’s history. As the story unfolded, Aditya and Aakash performed a stunning duet, while Priya and Aushi brought in sections of the model, assembling it piece by piece on stage.
When the final spotlight hit their completed Taj Mahal, the audience erupted in applause.
Later that day, they presented the same model in Mrs. Mehta’s class, explaining its historical significance and recounting their process.
“You’ve exceeded expectations,” Mrs. Mehta said with a rare smile.
Epilogue
The group celebrated their success with ice cream.
“I can’t believe we managed to do both,” Aakash said, laughing.
“It wasn’t easy,” Priya admitted, “but it was worth it.”
"Thanks for the idea Aushi your really smart" Aakash said smiling
"O-oh thanks aakash!" Even if he just called her smart, her heart flustered at his compliment.
**Later the group went back home it was only Aushi who was left walking on the stone path thinking about the compliment that was shared to her**
"He is so kind.." she snapped out of her thoughts where she bumped into a random guy, he offered her a hand only to realise it was Veer
"OMG veer haven't seen you in soo long bro" Aushi said a smileighting up her face
"Good to see you again sis" Veer said
"What are you doing out so late?" Aushi said with a curious face
"Oh your mom A.K.A my bua told me to get dahee..." Veer said scratching his head frowning not really looking like he wanted to go downstairs
"I'm so glad I don't have to go to get that anyways bye!"
"Okay, bye!" Saying that veer and Aushi went in their own seperate ways
