"Aambag ba kami, Brent? Magkano ba?" interesadong tanong ni Rick.
"Ako na ang bahala," Brent answered, followed by more words, which I couldn't digest since I already rolled my eyes.
Titig na titig si Mav kay Brent na seryoso sa pagpaplano. Nasa sala kami while we could hear the girls' voice coming from the kitchen since they decided to bake after our review for the upcoming exam.
Brent wanted to throw a party for Shiloh, and I'm a bit pissed on why he got the balls to celebrate it while he didn't even give me a gift during my birthday. Worst, sa akin pa nanghihingi ng pera pambili kung gusto ko raw ng regalo.
Nagsitayo ang boys nang maamoy namin ang bango galing sa kusina since the girls are baking some cookies. Nangunguna si Rick habang malamya akong tumatayo, magkasalubong ang kilay. Ang kapal ng mukha ni Brent.
"Para 'yan kay Shiloh!" Sapak ni Sadie sa kamay ni Rick nang mag-ambang kumuha ng cookie. Magsama sila ni Brent na parehas madamot.
"What's with the face?" Natatawang akbay ni Mavric sa akin.
"I'm pissed, Mav. Ang kapal ng mukha ni Brent. May pa birthday blowout kay Shiloh, pero sa atin wala? I'm offended," sabi ko habang pinanood ang pagtakbo ni Brent, may hawak na isang cookie at iritadong hinabol ni Sadie.
Hindi naman ako matampuhin. I don't really mind if Brent would not give me gifts since he is really like that. Kahit ni isa sa amin, wala 'yang nireregaluhan. Pero ngayon...
Or maybe I'm just not used to him giving extra effort to someone else since he always treats us equally. He doesn't spend on us. Laging walang pera, para lang ding si Sadie.
"Hayaan mo na. Ano bang gusto mong regalo? Ibibili kita nang hindi ka magselos," si Mav na kinurot pa ang nipple ko lalo na't topless ako kaya natatawa ko siyang itinulak.
I'm not even freaking jealous! I just don't like how Brent sets us all aside, like we aren't his closest friend to begin with.
"Anong pinagkaiba natin kay Shiloh?" I frowned.
Tiningnan ni Mavric si Brent na muling kinuha ang hawak na cookie ni Shiloh at sinamaan ng tingin ni Shiloh. Mavric only shrugged while I looked so lost and confused.
"Say hi guys!" si Angela na nakatapat na pala sa amin ang camera niya.
I smiled and waved my hand. "Hi. Angela will flash my number on the screen, so if you want to call me girls, hit me up." I winked while Mavric laughed and slapped my chest.
Shiloh decided to bake another cookie. I'm not yet close with him, to be honest. I find him...different. Sa aming boys, siya ang pinaka maputi, kasingkinis din ng mga girls. Medyo nag-aalala kami kay Rick lalo na't alam namin ang rason kaya walang pinapapasok na bakla si Brent sa circle namin, o pinapahalo.
Shiloh isn't gay, just like Brent said to not assume about his sexuality unless it's stated. Siguro dahil na rin mahinhin kaya pinagdudahan namin noong una. Kaso kung bakla siya, I would stand on Rick's side since I am closer with Rick. I don't really care about Shiloh.
If my homie hates someone, I will hate them too. And I got a strong conviction about gays since I've seen how traumatized Rick was when he met his perpetrator, who assaulted him. I have had some ugly encounters with their community too, which added to why I don't really like some of them.
And even Ron and Mavric empathized with Rick. It's just that, when it comes to empathy, Brent has a wide room for that. And he's kind of biased too since Shiloh is close to their family; that's why he's overprotective and favoring him. Utos kasi ng Mommy niya at pinapabantayan sa kanya.
