5 - Shift

I'm having lunch with Jeonghan and Mingyu after she left to meet her friends. Ever since that day, everything changed. I can't seem to be in the same room as her for too long without wanting to touch her. The longer I look at her, the more I cannot hold myself back.

Since that day, we just avoid being in the same space for too long. I know I'm not the only one because sometimes she'd be the one to run off to her room. What happened to us? It feels like I'm sinning whenever I think of her that way.

"Ya. What are you thinking of?" Jeonghan snaps his fingers in front of my face.

"Nothing," I shake my head in reply.

Then we both turn to Mingyu looking down at his phone and smiling. Jeonghan smacks his head asking, "What the fuck you smiling about? You haven't even paid me."

Mingyu raises his hand and rubs his head still smiling, "Booty call. I'm gonna go."

"Oh my god. Can you like chill for a bit? Have you ever even spent a day without doing that shit?" Jeonghan asks.

"I have needs to be satisfied," Mingyu says cockily then adds, "Stop judging me. Sooner or later y'all are gonna follow my footsteps."

He then stands up and wipes his lips before walking towards the elevator, "I'm leaving. Enjoy yourselves because I'm definitely gonna be enjoying my time."

Jeonghan and I start shaking our heads in disapproval. He seriously can't keep it in his pants. I stand up right after and walk towards the sofa with Jeonghan following behind.

"Should we just ditch him tonight?" Jeonghan asks with his mischievous face.

"Maybe we should. He's gonna end up leaving us and fuck someone else again," I agree.

"Exactly," Jeonghan smirks but then he adds, "Fuck. I can't ditch, he owes me and I'm not letting him delay it any longer. He's piled up losses and he needs to pay up."

I shake my head at him, "You're literally the son of the richest man in your city and you're still so sensitive with money."

He sits up and chuckles, "It's sportsmanship man, you lose, you pay up. People who can't afford it won't be playing golf."

"Okay okay whatever you say," I raise my arms, giving in. Then Jeonghan leans forward resting his elbows on his thighs looking straight at me, "So have you kissed her or something?"

I'm taken aback by his question and instantly ask back, "Who?" Jeonghan rolls his eyes and sighs, "Stop playing dumb with me. You know who I'm talking about. Your beloved dearest housemate."

He pauses waiting for my response but then adds, "Don't lie bro. It's so obvious you want her."

Damn is it that obvious? I grabbed the glass of water in front of me and tipped it into my mouth. He's looking at me still waiting for my response and I finally answer, "No and even if I have, it's none of your business so stop asking."

He laughs, throwing his head back, "You're so obvious but okay whatever you say."

He really doesn't know how much I've dreamt and imagined her lips on mine.

I met up with Sujin and Jiwon at a small restaurant we frequently go to just to hangout. We're in the middle of our conversation just talking about college and then Jiwon suddenly asks, "Ya yn. Are you interested in anyone?"

That came out of nowhere. I laugh at her thinking she's joking but she's staring at me with a straight face. Oh shit she's seriously asking so I answer, "Are you serious? Obviously not."

She then smiles and grabs my hand, "Can I set you up with someone?"

She pleads with her eyes expecting an answer from me.

I finally gave her an answer, "No. Maybe Sujin's interested?"

I turn to Sujin and raise my eyebrows but Jiwon interrupts before Sujin could even answer, "He's interested in you that's why I'm asking you plus he's not Sujin's type."

Sujin laughs and says, "Yea don't worry about me at all I'm not interested in dating right now."

"Well too bad then I'm not interested too," I tell Jiwon.

Jiwon frowns then pleads again giving me her best puppy eyes, "Pleaseeee?"

I pat her back to give a little bit of comfort, "No thanks."

"But why not?" Jiwon starts whining. Me and Sujin laughed together, shaking our heads at Jiwon.

Little did they know deep down I'm honestly not interested because why would I be interested in dating anyone when all I can think about is him?
