My phone rings for the nth time as I try to climb up the stairs as fast as I can, out of all days the elevator had to be out of service TODAY, wearing the heavy lehenga seems to add to the misery, I open the door to the hall and see my whole family...
"I don't hate you, I love you; but loving you is killing me. So this is a goodbye, even if i don't want it to be" -- Nikita Gill --------------------------------------------------------- Present--
Vahni POV:
We're getting ready for a night to remember at Vyara's house. The music is blasting, and we're all laughing and joking as we transform into our party personas.
Vyara looks stunning in a sizzling hot pink dress that hugs her curves in all the right places. I slip into my sleek black dress, feeling confident and glamorous. Vanya rocks a black jumpsuit with a daring cut, showcasing her toned physique.
As we're finishing up our makeup and hair, Vishaal walks into the room, looking dashing in his black tuxedo. His eyes widen as he takes in our outfits.
"Uh, guys, I don't know if this is such a good idea," he says, his brow furrowed in concern.
Vyara rolls her eyes good-naturedly. "Come on, Vishaal, let us enjoy! It's your last night of freedom, after all."
Vihaan walks into the room, his eyes scanning the space until they land on me. Our gazes lock, and the air is charged with tension. For a moment, it's like the world around us melts away, leaving only the two of us.
Vihaan's eyes burn with intensity, his gaze ripping away the layers of my dress, leaving me exposed and vulnerable. I feel a shiver run down my spine as our eyes remain locked, the connection between us crackling with electricity.
"Ready to party, bro?" Vihaan finally breaks the silence, turning to Vishaal with a smirk.
We all pile into the car, with me behind the wheel. As we drive to the designated meeting spot, the excitement builds. We're all chatting and laughing, eager to let loose and have a great time.

As we arrive at the party venue, the music is already pumping, and the crowd is buzzing with energy. We make our way to the bar, where Vanya's friends are already waiting for us.
Anisha, Shruti, and Kriti all hug us warmly, and we spend the next hour catching up and laughing together. The drinks are flowing, and we're all having the time of our lives.
I glance around the room, taking in the sights and sounds. That's when I see him - Vihaan, standing across the room, his eyes locked on me. He raises his glass in a silent toast, and I feel a shiver run down my spine.
I try to play it cool, but I can feel Vihaan's gaze burning into my skin. I take a sip of my drink, trying to distract myself from the butterflies in my stomach.
Vanya notices my gaze drifting towards Vihaan and raises an eyebrow. "Vahni, you okay?" she asks, her voice low and conspiratorial.
I nod, trying to brush it off. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just enjoying the music."
But Vanya's not buying it. She knows me too well. "Vahni, spill," she says, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
I glance around the room, making sure no one's listening. "I don't know, Vanya. I just feel like there's something between us. Something that I don't fully understand."
Vanya's expression turns serious. "Listen, Vahni, Vihaan is my brother, right? But you too are like my sister. I don't want either of you to get hurt, so just be careful, okay?"
I nod, feeling a pang of guilt. Vanya's right - I don't want to jeopardize our friendship or hurt Vihaan in any way.
Before I can respond, Anisha interrupts us, shouting over the music. "Girls, let's dance!"
The music changes, and the crowd surges forward. Vanya grabs my hand, pulling me onto the dance floor. I lose myself in the music, trying to shake off the feelings that Vihaan's gaze has stirred up inside me.
But as I glance over my shoulder, I catch Vihaan's eye again. This time, he's not just looking at me - he's moving towards me, his eyes locked on mine with an intensity that makes my heart skip a beat...
As Vihaan approaches me, I can feel the music pulsating through my veins, and my heart racing with anticipation. Vanya's warning echoes in my mind, but I push it aside, letting the excitement of the moment take over.
Vihaan reaches my side, his eyes never leaving mine. "Dance with me," he says, his voice low and husky, sending shivers down my spine.
I nod, feeling a little breathless, and let him pull me into the crowd. The music swirls around us, and we lose ourselves in the rhythm, our bodies moving in perfect sync.
As we dance, Vihaan's hands brush against mine, sending sparks flying through my body. I feel like I'm melting into his gaze, and I know I'm in trouble.
The music builds to a crescendo, and Vihaan pulls me closer, his lips inches from mine. I feel like I'm drowning in his eyes, and I know I'm not sure what's happening...
Suddenly, the music stops, and the lights flicker on. I'm jolted back to reality, feeling a little disoriented.
Vyara grabs my arm, laughing. "Vahni, let's get some drinks!"
I nod, still feeling a little dazed, and follow Vyara to the bar. But as I glance back over my shoulder, I catch Vihaan's eye, and I know that this night is far from over...
