Jennie's POV

The city hummed with life, its lights glittering against the darkened sky, but all I could focus on was Lisa. Every step we took through the far shopping district was a reminder of how lucky I was. Her fingers intertwined with mine, warm and firm, though she still had that shy look on her face. It was maddening, endearing, and yet—frustrating. She had no idea how much power she held over me, how much I wanted to spoil her, to drape her in the finest things this world had to offer.

Lisa glanced at a store window as we walked by, her gaze lingering for just a second too long on a sleek leather jacket. She thought I wouldn't notice, but I did. I always noticed.

"You like it?" I asked, tugging her hand to stop her in her tracks.

She hesitated, her lips curving into that soft, almost hesitant smile. "It's nice."

"Nice? That's all you've got?" I scoffed, pulling her closer to the window. "No, baby, that's more than nice. It's perfect. Let's go."

Before she could argue, I was already dragging her inside the boutique. The scent of leather and polished wood filled the air, but all I cared about was seeing her in that jacket. I grabbed it off the rack and thrust it into her arms.

"Try it on," I demanded, my tone leaving no room for discussion.

"Jennie, I don't need—" she started, but I cut her off with a glare.

"Lisa. Try it. On."

With a resigned sigh, she slipped it on, and the moment she turned toward the mirror, my breath caught. It fit her like it was made for her, hugging her frame in all the right places. She looked dangerous, confident—a perfect mix of badass and beautiful.

"See?" I said, stepping closer to her. "It's like it was designed just for you."

She shook her head, already reaching to take it off. "It's too expensive, Jennie. I don't need this."

That made me pause. I stepped in front of her, tilting her chin down so she had no choice but to look at me. "Baby, listen to me. You're with me now. What's mine is yours. And if I want to spend money on you, then let me. You deserve it."

"But—"

"No buts." I leaned in and kissed her, slow and deep, my fingers brushing her cheek. I wanted her to feel the truth in my actions. When I pulled back, her eyes were slightly wide, her lips parted in surprise. "We're getting the jacket," I said simply, handing it to the sales clerk.

That was just the beginning. One store turned into another, and another. Every time she saw something she liked—whether she admitted it or not—I bought it for her. Designer shoes, a sleek black watch, even a pair of sunglasses she tried to put back on the rack when she thought I wasn't looking.

"Baby, this is too much, I have my own money. You don't need to do shopping for me" she said for the hundredth time, holding onto the handles of the shopping bags as if she could stop me.

"It's never too much for you," I replied, pulling her into another kiss. She tasted like heaven, like home. "I love you. And I love spoiling you. Let me have this, okay?"

She sighed, but there was a small smile tugging at her lips. That smile—it was worth every single penny I spent tonight.

By the time we stopped for dinner, the table was practically surrounded by shopping bags. She looked at them with a mix of amusement and embarrassment. She had to asked someone to deliver it at our house.

"You're unbelievable," she muttered, shaking her head as she took a sip of her drink.

"And you're worth it," I replied, reaching across the table to take her hand. My thumb brushed over her knuckles, and I saw her blush deepen. God, how could someone like her ever be mine?
