Vahni POV:

Vanya's living room is buzzing with activity as the wedding preparations are in full swing. Vanya's mom, Mrs. Sharma, is busy assigning tasks to everyone.

"Vyara, beta, can you please take care of distributing the wedding cards to all our relatives and friends?" Mrs. Sharma asks, handing Vyara a stack of colorful cards.

Vyara nods enthusiastically. "Of course, Aunty! I'll make sure everyone gets their card on time."

Next, Mrs. Sharma turns to me. "Vahni, sweetie, can you please take care of the mehndi ceremony venue? We need someone to make sure everything is perfect for the big day."

I nod, feeling a sense of responsibility. "I'm on it, Aunty. I'll make sure everything is just right."

Just then, Vihaan walks into the room, looking handsome as always. His aunt turns to him with a smile.

"Vihaan, beta, can you please help Vahni with the mehndi ceremony venue? We need someone to make sure everything is perfect, and I know I can count on you two."

Vihaan's eyes meet mine, and for a moment, we just stare at each other. Then, he nods, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Of course, aunty. I'll make sure everything is taken care of."

And just like that, Vihaan and I are assigned to work together, alone, for the rest of the day.

Vihaan and I set off towards the venue in his car. As we drive, the silence between us is comfortable.

"So, what's the plan for today?" I ask, breaking the silence.

"We need to check the decorations, the seating arrangements, and make sure everything is in place for the mehndi ceremony," Vihaan replies, his eyes on the road.

"Sounds like a lot of work," I say, smiling.

Vihaan glances at me, a hint of a smile on his face. "We can handle it. We make a good team."

My heart skips a beat at his words, but I try to play it cool. "Yeah, we do."

As we arrive at the venue, Vihaan parks the car, and we get out. The venue is beautiful, with lush green gardens and a serene lake.

"Wow, this place is stunning," I say, looking around.

Vihaan nods, his eyes scanning the area. "Yeah, Vanya chose it herself. She has great taste."

We start walking towards the mehndi ceremony area, and I notice the beautiful decorations. "This looks amazing. She has done a great job."

As we continue to work together, our conversations become more effortless. We laugh and joke, our chemistry growing stronger.

At one point, Vihaan turns to me and asks, "Vahni, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it?" I reply, my heart beating slightly faster.

"Do you remember that night... the night I kissed you?" Vihaan asks, his eyes locked on mine.

My face grows hot, and I feel like I'm melting under his gaze. "Yeah... I remember."

Vihaan takes a step closer to me, his voice low and husky. "I've thought about that night a lot. Wondered what would have happened if I hadn't pushed you away."

My heart is racing now, and I feel like I'm drowning in his eyes. "Vihaan... I..."

But before I can say anything, Vihaan's phone rings, breaking the spell. He sighs and answers the call, his eyes never leaving mine.

I take a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart.

Vihaan answers the call, his expression changing from intense to polite. "Hello? Yeah, I'm here... Okay, got it."

He listens for a few more moments before hanging up. "Sorry about that. It was my aunt. She wanted to confirm some details for the wedding."

I nod, trying to play it cool despite the fact that my heart is still racing from our previous conversation. "No worries. I'm sure she's just excited for the wedding."

Vihaan smiles, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Yeah, she's definitely excited. So, where were we?"

I feel a flutter in my chest as I realize he's referring to our previous conversation. "I think we were just about to... um... check on the decorations?"

Vihaan chuckles, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Right. The decorations."

We spend the next few hours working together, our conversations flowing easily. But I can sense a newfound awareness between us, a sense of possibility that's hard to ignore.

As the sun begins to set, Vihaan turns to me with a smile. "You know, I think we've done a great job today. Why don't we take a break and grab some dinner?"

My heart skips a beat at the suggestion. Dinner alone with Vihaan? It sounds like a recipe for disaster... or maybe something more.

I nod, trying to play it cool despite the butterflies in my stomach. "Yeah, that sounds great. Where did you have in mind?"

Vihaan thinks for a moment before responding. "There's a great Italian place just around the corner. We could grab dinner there."

I nod, feeling a sense of excitement. "Sounds perfect."

We head to the restaurant, the evening air filled with the scent of blooming flowers. As we walk, Vihaan tells me about his day, sharing stories about his work and his family.

I listen, laughing and smiling, feeling more and more at ease in his presence. It's like we're falling into a comfortable rhythm, one that feels natural and easy.

As we arrive at the restaurant, Vihaan opens the door for me, his hand brushing against mine. I feel a spark of electricity at the touch, but I try to ignore it.

We're shown to a cozy table by the window, and we spend the next hour chatting and laughing over dinner. The conversation flows easily, and I find myself feeling more and more drawn to Vihaan.

As we finish our meal and prepare to leave, Vihaan reaches across the table and takes my hand. "Thanks for dinner, Vahni. I had a great time."

I feel a rush of excitement at his touch, but I try to play it cool. "No problem, Vihaan. I had a great time too."

As we walk out of the restaurant, hand in hand, I feel a sense of possibility that I hadn't felt in a long time.

As we drive back to my house, the evening air is filled with a sense of comfort and ease. Vihaan reaches out and takes my hand, his fingers intertwining with mine.

We drive in silence for a few minutes, the only sound the soft hum of the engine. As we pull up to my house, Vihaan gives my hand a gentle squeeze.

"I'll walk you to the door," he says, his voice low and gentle.

I nod, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. As we get out of the car, Vihaan walks me to the door, his hand still holding mine.

As we reach the door, Vihaan turns to me, his eyes locked onto mine. For a moment, we just look at each other, the tension between us building.

Then, Vihaan leans in and gently brushes a strand of hair behind my ear. His touch sends shivers down my spine, and I feel my heart racing with excitement.

"Goodnight, Vahni," he whispers, his breath tickling my ear.

I nod, feeling a sense of wonder and excitement. "Goodnight, Vihaan."

As Vihaan turns to leave, I watch him go, feeling a sense of hope and possibility.
