"Do we have to go?" Ethan whines.

"It's a monthly family barbecue." Libby says.

"I know, but... but it's your family." Ethan says.

"And what's wrong with my family?" Libby questions, quirking an eyebrow at him, her gaze warning him to be careful.

"Nothing, necessarily. I-I love them. But... babe, come on. They hate me." Ethan says.

"Oh, relax. Only, like... four of them hate you. That's nothing." Libby dismisses.

"Nathan and Billy are training their children to hate me." Ethan says.

"I doubt that." Libby scoffs.

"Eliana called me punk two weeks ago." Ethan pouts. Libby giggles. "Elizabeth." He whines.

"I-I'm sorry. But that's adorable." She laughs.

"No, it's not. She's a witch. She can do stuff that her father can't." Ethan hisses.

"Oh, relax. He's not actually gonna kill you or anything. Same with Nate. And they're definitely not making their kids do it." Libby states.

"We don't know that." Ethan says and Libby gives him a look.

"They're not Dean." She remarks. "You've been in this family for, like, eight years. You should be fine by now." Libby says.

"They're scary, babe." Ethan whines.

"No, they're not. They're stupid dorks." Libby says. "Look, if-- if it makes you feel better, I can go get my gun."

"No. No, you don't-- that's unnecessary." Ethan says. "Just... don't leave my side... and test eat my food."

"Okay, you big baby." Libby rolls her eyes.

"Should you be going? I mean, you're pregnant." Nathan says.

"I'm six weeks pregnant. That's almost nothing. Hell, most women don't even know they're pregnant until six weeks." Ophelia says, giving him a look.

"I'm just saying... I mean, there-- there's gonna be smoke from the grill an-and the sun and... and people." Nathan says.

"I didn't realize being pregnant meant I had to self isolate for nine months." Ophelia remarks.

"You-- they could accidentally hit you or something. One of the kids could throw a football at your stomach." Nathan says.

"You overthink, honey bun." Ophelia says. "You love these people."

"All but one." Nathan grumbles.

"You're gonna have to accept Ethan eventually. You know that, right? Cause he's not going anywhere." Ophelia states.

"We'll see about that." Nathan mumbles.

"Nathan." Ophelia chides.

"Where he going?" Ryder asks, looking between his parents.

"Nowhere. You're gonna see him at the barbecue." Ophelia tells him, helping him change his shirt since he spilled milk on his other one. "You like Ethan, right? Aunt Libby's boyfriend?"

"Little punk?" Ryder asks.

Ophelia glares at her husband who has a proud grin on his face.

"Unbelievable." She mutters under her breath with a roll of her eyes.
