And with that, you agreed to take him back home and Satoru put him on his bed and waited for him to get really comfortable and fall asleep. You were sitting on the couch, watching tv until Satoru came and sat next to you.
"Hm...why does b/n have school so early in the morning? Nobody wants to get up at 8 am," Satoru mumbled as he scrolled on his phone.
"Huh? What are you talking about? School for what?" You chuckled a bit while searching for something to watch on Netflix.
"For preschool. What else-?"
You stopped touching the remote and froze as you heard "preschool". You turned your head and stared at Satoru. You waited for him to giggle or tell you that he was joking but he didn't. He continued to stare at his phone until you managed to catch his attention.
"What? Something wrong?" He hummed as he turned his head to you as well.
"You enrolled b/n in preschool?!" You questioned with a slight snap in his tone.
"Uh yeah...he's almost four and Shoko said that four is the usual age to get him enrolled but we should enroll him now so the upcoming school year he'll get to go-"
"You enrolled my son in pre-school without talking to me about it?!" You stood up from the couch as you were starting to unintentionally yell at him.
"He's about to be four. Why wouldn't I?"
"That's not the point Satoru! Why didn't you talk to me about it?! What if I don't want him to go?!"
"Then that would be selfish of you. Why wouldn't our son go to preschool, he's like any other child...?" Satoru argued back.
"Because I'm not fully comfortable without him! I want more time before he has to go off and go the day without me!" You yelled while rubbing your forehead.
Satoru stood up as well and slipped his phone into his pocket. You stood in front of each other, having no regard for your sleeping son in the next room.
"We should talk about this la-"
"No. I don't care I don't want my son-"
"Stop calling him your son. He's ours, so whenever the fuck you're ready to see me as his dad, then we can have this conversation." He snapped at you before turning and walking around the couch.
You'd never pissed him off in the almost ten years of knowing him. Not once. When it came to b/n' it seemed like pissing him off was easier than you anticipated. On top of that, you knew he was pissed because he slammed the front door that he walked out of as you stood in the living room.
Honestly, you assume he was going to another girl's house because that's what he always resorted to. You felt like you may have overreacted but you were overwhelmed with the idea of losing the only person who's been with you these past three years.
You; like any other mother, were afraid to let him go. You didn't know what you would do in your free time or the time he was away since your priority had always been taking care of him.
You wanted to see if you could catch Satoru before he went too far so you could talk to him. You had a monitor in b/n's room so you just turned on your phone and walked out the door after locking it. You kept an eye on b/n, who was still sleeping as you walked down the hall and went down the steps to see if he was in the lobby.
You rushed down and didn't see him in the apartment lobby, you kept looking around but he was nowhere to be found. You sighed and just went back upstairs to your apartment, you shut the door behind you and waited for b/n to wake up while also waiting for Satoru to return.
