(3rd POV)"Ha..." Theresa sighed as she gazed at the aftermath of their previous skirmish with her brother.
She didnt want this... never did alas she and her brother had different views on how they help their home and people.
Views that clashed with one another as the civil war had shown so far.
It has barely been months since their feud had begun with the majority of the Sarkaz Court allying with her brother.
Sure the people whom beloved her sided with her but even they had limits unlike the military that her brother has command over.
Plus with the support of the other Sarkaz kings, but she had little allies to find not when most are under her brother's banner.
She knew the dance and song that had plagued Kazdel for so long now and why so many times it had collapsed from king to another.
Theresa had hoped that things would've changed with her becoming the new king albeit by accident due to having inherited the black crown from the king before her.
But it seems history repeated itself and she watched in sorrow as the nation she had worked hard to rebuild is now being laid asunder.
"Kal'stit will surely not be pleased with me going on my lonesome again." She mused despite the dire situation she put herself.
Theresa knows the risk but she doesn't also wish to hide behind walls like some coward and she was no ordinary ruler.
She may not be powerful like those of her predecessors, Theresa still holds a modicum of strength that would even put her brother to hesitate in attacking.
"But doctor will also be worried for me." She giggled at the thought of one of her friend.
*Crack*
Her attention swiftly shifted when she heard a crack and her gaze set upon a ruined down church.
The aftermath of the skirmish a while ago had left devastation across parts of Kazdel underdeveloped towns and cities.
Which were few and not much to count given their not so stelar reputation from the rest of the world.
Theresa let out a mental sigh thinking of the other few issues that Kazdel and her people were plagued.
Discrimination over the race was quite well known and not the first time they had to go through from their neighbors.
Is it any wonder why most Sarkaz were so deep in their hatred for the other race across Terra? The truth is hard to accept even for her.
"Huh?" Just as she was about to move on her lonesome walk she noticed a boy a few years older than her adopted child.
Standing inside the ruined church while staring at what remained of the altar.
The boy looked fine and didn't held any notable injuries or bduises but what caught her attention most is his clothes.
Wearing a slightly tattered black cloak and a shoulder bag half his size, Theresa felt a huge abject of sorrow and concern for the young boy.
"Is he alone?" Theresa thought as she entered in the church her action wasn't left unnoticed. "An orphan perhaps?"
The boy's eyes was on her's not even a second, his eyes narrowed and looking cautious and wary as he stepped back.
"It's okay... I won't hurt you child." She tried to present herself as unintimidating as possible to reassure the boy.
