To my Kingdom readers, I've been excited about this prequel for literal YEARS and I'm happy to finally share it with y'all! I started writing Kingdom in 2017 and I'll be honest, the prequel came to my head nearly halfway into writing that book. I didn't want the story of Alexis and Marshall to just simply fade away, I wanted it to continue for a little while longer.
A sequel was far from my mind and I doubt I could come up with anything of substance to warrant a sequel. Plus, sequels tend to be overdone at times. So I thought, "Hmm, not a lot of people have ever done a prequel. Why don't I do that?" And BOOM! Before The Throne was created. This has been so much fun to write over time and I hope y'all enjoy it just as much as I do.
I know y'all are tired of me rambling already, so allow me to introduce the story in proper fashion.

There's one mentioned that I still love and don't care how you feel about him. If you read Kingdom, you'll know he was referenced to. KEEP THE TIMELINE/ERA OF THIS STORY IN HEAVY MIND.

The sarcastic and sadistic bad boy of hip-hop himself. He says what he feels and does what he wants. And guess what? You can't do shit about it. He made mainstream waves within the music game in '99 and continues to make those waves bigger and better. He's hated by some, but loved by many. Though Slim Shady is a loud, brash persona portrayed in his music and the spotlight, him as Marshall is actually very warm hearted and kind. Rhymes, parties, women and bullshit are all the things he frequently loves. Oh, and of course his beloved daughter and niece.

The young R&B starlet with the goddess-like vocals and the beauty to match who's quickly making a name for herself on the music scene. A sweet, kind-hearted soul, but don't let that fool you. Her quick wit and feisty personality does not allow her to be underestimated. Incredibly level headed to be in the industry she's in and a force to be reckoned with every endeavor under her belt. She plays no games and is not afraid to let that be known. The women admire her, the men desire her. Look at the product, you can see why.
