Vahni POV:

It's been two weeks, and I've successfully avoided Vihaan. Veer, Shruti, and Anisha have been a huge help. With finals coming up, we're all very busy, but we manage to hang out in and after school a lot. The projects have been paired, and I'm doing physics with Veer. Speaking of which, this guy is so lazy! I've been bugging him to do the project for three days now, and finally, today he's agreed. Today, he has football practice after school, so I'll wait for him in the stands and finish my homework there. After that, we'll go to his place and do the project.

As the final bell rings, I grab my backpack and head towards the school grounds, where Veer has football practice. I take a seat in the stands, surrounded by the sounds of cheering and laughter. The cheerleaders are practicing for the upcoming match, and I notice Vihaan's girlfriend among them. She seems nice, and I think to myself that if I hadn't held a grudge against her, we could have been friends.

As I take out my homework and start working on it, the boys arrive on the field. Veer yells out to me, "Wait there for me, princess! I'll take you home!" Some of the boys smirk, while others act nonchalant. I just wave at Veer and give him a thumbs up.

After about 40 minutes, the practice ends, and Veer comes over to me. "Wait another 10 minutes, please," he says. "I'll just have a quick shower and change, and then we can head back". "No hurry, take your time." I nod and tell him.

Just as I'm about to go back to my homework, I see Vihaan walking towards me. I look away, trying to avoid him, but he stops in front of me. "I warned you, remember?" he says, his voice low.

I look up at him, feeling a surge of anger. "I don't care. It's my life," I say, trying to keep my cool.

Vihaan sneers at me. "Don't come running back to me when he breaks your heart," he says, his eyes flashing with anger.

I want to clarify that there's nothing romantic between Veer and me, but why bother explaining myself to him? Instead, I tell him, "Listen, you don't get to tell me what I do with my life. It's not your business. And I'll chew glass before I go back to you."

Just then, Veer appears beside me, his eyes scanning the tense scene before him. Without thinking twice, I pull Veer towards me and kiss him, the shock of the moment hanging in the air.

I hear Vihaan's retreating footsteps, and then I register what I just did. I pull my lips back, shocked and embarrassed by my own actions. My cheeks burn with embarrassment, but thankfully, the field is empty, so no one has witnessed our awkward moment.

Veer chuckles, "Wow, princess! Never thought this day would come. Am impressed!" I try to apologize, stuttering over my words. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to... um... uh..."

Veer looks at my flustered state and shakes his head, a knowing glint in his eye. "Hey, it's okay. I know that it was to show Vihaan. I get it. And we're best friends, we should always help each other, princess." He winks playfully as we walk towards the exit.

I apologize again, feeling mortified. "Please don't take this seriously, V. I am so sorry."

Veer reassures me, "I know, Vini. Chill. But I should say, I'll have to teach you how to kiss." I blush hard, smiling despite myself. "Hey, that was my first!"

Veer comes to a halt, looking at me with wide eyes. "What?! First?! I'm your first?! OMG, am so lucky, princess! You make me the happiest!" We both burst out laughing, and Veer says, "I should treat you for this..." We continue laughing and joking as we ride off to his house.

As we enter Veer's house, I'm immediately struck by the warm and cozy atmosphere. We walk into the living room, and I see a younger version of Veer sitting on the sofa, engrossed in drawing. He looks up and sees Veer, and his face lights up with a bright smile. He drops his drawing and runs to Veer, giving him a big hug.

Then, he turns to me and asks Veer, "Is this your friend?" Veer nods and says, "Yeah, she is." I crouch down to his level and introduce myself, "Hey, I'm Vahni. You can call me Vini. What's your name?" I offer him a chocolate from my bag, and he accepts it with a shy smile. "I'm Vyan" he says quietly, before hiding behind his brother.

I nod and smile, thinking to myself how adorable and sweet Vyan is, unlike his mischievous brother Veer. Veer chuckles and says, "He's just shy towards unknown people. He'll warm up to you soon and then show his true self." We share a laugh, and just then, Veer's mom comes running out of the kitchen. She greets us warmly, and Veer introduces me to her.

She smiles and says, "Okay, you guys go upstairs to do your project. I'll send you some snacks soon. And Vyan don't disturb your brother!" She winks at Veer, and he grins mischievously. I smile, feeling welcome in Veer's home, and follow him upstairs to start our project.
