Y/N ran around the speed lab, zooming along the track on the upper level. Hunter stood on the ground with a stopwatch, timing him. After a bit, Y/N rushed down to the floor and stopped. He panted for a moment after running with more speed.

Y/N: How was that?
Hunter squinted and shook his head.
Hunter: Still a little slow.
Y/N: What? But that was faster than last time.
Hunter: By about three seconds. That may be fast, but Zoom is faster. You're trying to rush things. You need to take it slow and let the energy pass through you.
Y/N: Alright. What about Trajectory? What did she do?
Hunter thought for a moment.
Hunter: My wife was fast, but she was also clever. She used her surroundings, the city she knew so well, to lure him away and get out.
Y/N: Alright. I can do that. I mean, come on. This is my city. Central City's my home. I know it top to bottom.
Hunter: But that still wasn't enough. He still caught up to her. He got her in the end. She only delayed the inevitable.
Hunter put his head down for a moment in sorrow.

Hunter brought his head up, brushing it off.
Hunter: You may be getting faster, but Zoom... While you increase your speed by a fraction with each run, his nearly doubles. The only reason you were lucky last time is because of his time limit. Each time he gets faster, more and more of his cells degenerate. That's why he needs Velocity-9.
Y/N: A real drug addict. He needs a higher dosage each time to get a stronger high.
Hunter: And you can't always hope to run out the clock. He will eventually catch up to you. Next time, you won't be so lucky. You may be able to stall him, but he'll get you eventually.
