My wrist was aching as his fingers dug into my skin, I had no idea what the hell was going on, but I'm pretty sure if I resisted, Henry won't be seeing the light of the day anytime soon. So, I gave in. I can't let Henry get more hurt than that because of me.
He dragged me to his car, and threw me in, driving back to his house. My body was tensed up, if he could do that to Henry, then I was no match for him. W-What was he? Some kind of murderer?
"Babe, why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" He smiled light-heartedly. H-How could he smile so freaking innocently after what he just did to Henry?
"I-I'm fine." I mumbled, shifting as far away from him as possible. It was best if I stay away from provoking him, or I'm dead meat for sure.
"Is it what you saw?" He chuckled as if I just said a little cute joke. "Don't worry babe, I'm just keeping you safe."
I wanted to hit him back with a 'Safe from what?' but I knew better than making him mad while I was all alone with him in his car, where no one would probably hear me scream.
He gently slammed the breaks, the car slowly halted at his door step. I don't want to go in. "Come on babe, let's go home." He smiled at me, my stomach churned. I hesitated, but do I have a choice?
He got off and opened the door for me. I forced my legs to work, to walk inside the damn house which now felt like a death sentence. He leaned in, his voice dropping to a mere whisper. "And don't even think about running again, okay?"
My breath hitched, my heart racing as fear surged through my veins. The edges of his lips curved up. He pecked my cheek and leaned back near my ear.
"I will always find you."
Gulping the lump that formed in my throat, I quickened my footing inside the house. Locks clicked in place behind me, my pulse quickened as his footsteps echoed behind me.
"Do you know how worried I was when you left for two days without telling me anything?" His arms slithered around me, wrapping me in a hug. I stiffened, fighting the urge to push him away.
"I-I was just hanging out with my friends..." I replied in a mumble, keeping my face away from his.
"You don't need them to hang out with you when you've got me, love." He said it so lovingly that I was getting sick of it. "You look down, how about I get you some food?"
He gently got me to the dining table and sat me down, not waiting for my reply. I didn't even have my phone with me, it was still in Henry's place. Damn it.
A clank of ceramic plates snapped me out of my thoughts. He placed a plate full of food infront of me and sat down beside me, watching me intently. "Eat up," he smiled.
I picked up the spoon with my trembling hands and stabbed it in the food, scooping some onto it. I glanced at him for a moment, he was smiling so...weirdly. A shudder ran down my spine as I slowly put the spoon down on the plate.
"Sorry, I-I'm not hungry." I stuttered, keeping my gaze low. Like hell I'm consuming something he made! What if it was poisoned, or drugged? I ain't dying today, NUH-UH.
He dragged his chair out and stood, slowly creeping behind me. My heart almost stopped as one of his hand forced my chin up, our gaze locked. His stare was cold, icy cold. "Are you being cautious around me, darling?"
I awkwardly forced a laugh, nudging his hand off my chin, but he held me tight. "W-What do you mean?" I asked innocently as if I wasn't doing exactly that.
