Escape.

That is all she remembers. For the first 17 years of her life, Amelia was subjected to the project, the torture, today was no different, sit in her tube, and await the pain. The scientist entered the room and began preparing for the experiment. This was her life. This is what she knew since birth. Sold scientists just to be tortured. For what? Weird powers? Amelia was done. She put her hand on the glass of the tube and applied pressure. Nothing. She did it again. Nothing. On the third attempt, the glass cracked. The scientist didn't notice, of course, because he was preparing the experiment. She continued to apply pressure until it cracked again, bigger, then it cracked some more, and more, and more until it was at the verge of shattering. The scientist finally noticed right before the water to the tube flowed out and onto the ground.
Amelia was out... "Not yet," she thought.
She got up and grabbed a large shard of the glass that came from the tube and approached the unsuspecting scientist. When he looked up he saw her holding the shard but couldn't react on time as she brought the glass down on him, stabbing him multiple times until he was nothing but chopped up flesh. She got up still holding the shard of glass and left the experiment room. She walked down the hall until she found the security system and disabled the whole thing before leaving for freedom.
