Recap: Vansh looked up, his eyes meeting the identical ones, "Okay. T-Thank you."
Vihaan shook his head, bringing his son back into his chest and wrapping his arm tightly around him, "You never have to thank me for basic necessities, Ansh. You deserve them, forget that, my son deserves the whole world."
Vansh smiled, Vihaan had referred to him as 'His Son'. Those words touched his heart. He had someone now. He had a parent who wanted him. He didn't have to go back to that place where he was unwanted because now he had someone who was willing to look after him and guide him.
"Here," Vihaan said, pressing the glass to Vansh's lips.
Vihaan sauntered into the living room and lowered Vansh on the floor, his feet landing on the soft carpet. Vihaan moved around and picked up the TV remote before switching it on and Vansh stared at the big screen in astonishment.
"What does my Ansh want to watch? Cartoons? A movie?" Vihaan rhetorically questioned, switching between channels as he found one that was playing Tom and Jerry. "Do you want to watch this show?"
Vansh nodded his head, already invested in the show. Vihaan leaned down and kissed Vansh's head before sitting him on the couch. "I'll be back in 5 minutes sweetheart, Is that okay?"
"Kay," Vansh mumbled, giggling at the cartoons that were having their own banter.
Vihaan patted his head gently and headed upstairs to change his clothes. On the other hand, Roman stepped inside the house, his hand occupied with two shopping bags that were filled with clothes for Vansh.
"Malhotra-Oh hey there, buddy." Roman cut himself off when he took notice of Vansh on the couch.
Vansh's head snapped up and he pushed himself back onto the couch. He did have a vague memory of seeing Roman but he wasn't sure if he was nice like his father.
Roman placed the bags on the table and took a seat on the other side of the couch, he had no intention of scaring the kid, "You don't have to be scared of me, baby. I'm Roman, your Baba's friend, and your uncle."
Vansh brought his knees to his chest, pulling the large shirt over his knees to cover himself up, he was starting to feel cold. He hesitantly glanced back at the TV though he would steal a glance at Roman after a few seconds.
Roman smiled each time he caught Vansh staring at him, the kid was adorable. He stood up and pulled out a board out of the shopping bag and placed it on the table before he looked over at Vansh, "Do you wanna play a game with me?"
Vansh stared at him with big eyes, he had no clue what his 'uncle' was talking about. Roman shook his head and face palmed, "Oof, I haven't even explained it to you yet. How dumb can I be?"
Vansh giggled, the man sitting before him was very silly.
Roman fake gasped, but inside he was celebrating, proud of himself for getting the child to laugh. He couldn't wait to throw it on Vihaan's face about being the first to make Vansh laugh, completely oblivious to the reality that Vansh had already shared a laugh with his father. "Oh my god, are you laughing at your uncle?"
"Silly," Vansh tittered.
"Oh god, at this rate I'm going to have a heart attack. My baby just spoke to me, I'm going to have fun teasing your Baba." Roman exclaimed, patting his chest proudly.
"He is not your baby!" Vihaan claimed possessively as he stepped back into the living room.
"Quit with the jealousy, Malthotra. He is 'my baby'. Don't you agree Vansh?" Roman asked, aiming his second question at Vansh, who had slipped into silence.
