Vihaan scanned the documents, reviewing the important information when he received a call from an unknown number. He answered and placed the phone to his ear, uninterested.

"Hello. Is this Mr Malhotra?"

"Yes."

Vihaan flicked to the next page, his attention wavering between the documents and phone in his hand. "I'm a social worker, I have your son here-"

Vihaan straightened up, no emotions flickered through his face, he'd been through this long enough. Many people had tried to fake the news of finding Vansh but in reality, it was always a lie to gain ransom.

"-His mother Mia, has gone into a coma after her car accident. The doctors aren't aware when she is to be awake and Vansh had no caregiver to look after him. Would you like to take him in or can I proceed with sending him to foster care?"

"No. Send me the location and I'll be there." Vihaan declared, standing up and picking up his blazer.

Vihaan didn't want to give in to the hope that had blossomed in his chest but he didn't want to let the opportunity escape either. The names sounded familiar to him. Mia was his girlfriend-Now his ex-and only a few people had known about her.

"Yes sir, I've sent the location. I'll be waiting."

Vihaan ended the call without a response and headed to the door, where he met with his second hand, Roman Volkov, who flashed him a smirk, "Going somewhere, Vi."

Vihaan resisted the urge to roll his eyes, "Don't call me that, Volkov or I won't hesitate to tear your tongue out in an instant."

Roman shook his head as he crossed his arms, "Always so violent, Malhotra. You didn't answer, where are you going?"

"I'm not answerable to you, Volkov," Vihaan said, coldly. He picked up his car keys and headed to the door with Roman following behind him.

"Come on, man." Roman pestered.

Vihaan turned, staring at Ronan with emotionless eyes, "I received a call from a social worker stating they have found Vansh."

Roman nodded, straightening up, "Are you sure-"

"No. However, it wouldn't harm me if I checked. You know how I deal with people who try to fool me." Vihaan interrupted, understanding what Roman was trying to say.

"Okay then. I'm coming with you." Roman stated, whistling as he walked to the black Ferrari that was parked outside. "Oh and don't try to say no, if I said I'm coming then that means I'm coming."

Vihaan unlocked his car and raised an eyebrow when Roman tried to open the door, "Volkov."

Roman rolled his eyes, "Can you just call me Roman like a normal person would."

"No," Vihaan said, ignoring the puppy expression on Roman's face. "Get into your own car. You ain't touching mine."

Roman gaped, "But why? I wanna ride in my baby."

Vihaan stood still, unamused. "You're delaying me, I have loads of shit to do than to listen to your whining. Now, if you'll move-"

"Fine! You lunatic-I'm going, geez!" Roman yelped, running to his BMW, M5, when Vihaan took a step towards him.

Vihaan exhaled, stepping into his car and zooming onto the road, driving past the speed of 100 mph, with Roman in tow behind him. In half an hour, he was parked outside a rusty, old house.

He glanced at Roman when he stepped behind him. "What in the fucking world is this? I swear if they tricked you-"

"Volkov." Vihaan cut in. "Zip it."
