"Let go of my son, now!" Shaurya snapped, gazing over his son in worry.

"I'll take him out-"

His eyes darkened, as he glared at the receptionist, "I said Let. Him. Go."

He glanced at his manager and nodded his head, knowing he'll deal with this meeting. Shaurya turned around and hoisted Rehaan into his arms, gently rocking him as he rushed out of the room. "Shh. It's okay, papa is here, calm down sweetheart."

Rehaan grasped his papas collar into his hand tightly, "P-Papa,"

"Yes, baby. Papa is here." Shaurya comforted, closing the door behind him.

"Papa, 'm sorry," Rehaan choked over his words, coughing into Shaurya's neck.

"Shh. It's okay baby, there's nothing to apologise for."

Rehaan's laboured breathing was starting to worry Shaurya, if he didn't do anything soon, he was going to faint. "Rehaan, mere bache, calm down. Tell Papa what's wrong."

Rehaan's breath hitched and Shaurya fetched a glass of water and put it to his son's lips, helping him drink it though half of it spilled on his shirt. "It's okay, finish the glass."

"Take in deep breaths, baby." Rehaan took deep breaths, trying to mirror Shaurya and once it regulated, he dropped his head on his papa's shoulder.

"Don't... Leave...me," Rehaan murmured unconsciously and if it wasn't for Shaurya being close he would've never heard it.

Silently rocking him, Shaurya pressed occasional pecks on Rehaan's face, "Let's treat your wounds, baby."

Fetching the medicine kit, Shaurya sat on the bed and adjusted Rehaan onto his lap, whipping out a cotton ball alongside alcohol.

He pressed the cotton ball against Rehaan's scrapped knee and the latter flinched in pain, "Give me a few minutes, baby. I know it hurts but we need to wrap it up,"

Shaurya carefully yet efficiently cleaned the skin, holding Rehaan tightly against his chest, to offer support and comfort. "Papa,"

Shaurya hummed softly, pausing midway when he saw fresh tears in Rehaan's eyes, "Hurts,"

"I'm nearly finished, sweetheart. I just have to clean your forehead." Shaurya cooed, caressing Rehaan's cheeks softly as he dabbed the cotton back on the forehead, cleaning around the scrapes and finally wrapping a bandage around it.

Shaurya pulled out an injection, keeping it out of Rehaan's sight, and pushed down Rehaan's trousers and briefs. "Papa,"

"Shhh. Papa is so proud of you, you've been really cooperative even if that hurt."

Shaurya rubbed the cotton over his left bum and gently inserted the needle into the skin, tightening his hold on Rehaan, "It's nothing, just a small pinch, baby."

Rehaan's eyes filled with tears again, "Papa, it hurts,"

Shaurya administrated the medicine and pulled out the needle, quickly disposing it in the bin, "We're done, my baby was so brave."

Rehaan silently allowed himself to cry, though he grew tired quickly and fell asleep in Shaurya's arms. As long as he has his papa with him, Rehaan had nothing to worry about.

Shaurya headed towards the bedroom that was attached to his private office room and delicately laid Rehaan on the bed, before he grabbed a spare change of clothes for him.

After he had changed his son into a comfortable pair of pajamas, he quickly checked the cot, and once he ensured that both his sons were asleep, he strode outside of the office room and into the reception.
