Reyansh stretched his small legs, kicking them around to untangle the blanket around him. He shuffled around, yawning softly, as he turned on his stomach and glanced at the sleeping Shaurya.
"P-Pa! P-Papa!" Reyansh stuttered. He wiggled his arms, slowly bringing his thumb to his mouth and slipping it in.
Shaurya, who had fallen asleep only a few hours ago, was in deep sleep because after he'd put Reyansh and Rehaan to sleep, he had busied himself in completing one of the projects he had been focusing on for the past month.
"Pa!" Reyansh babbled. He whined into his thumb when he felt his diaper filling up and pressing against him. One thing that Reyansh strongly despised was wet diapers. They made him feel icky.
Reyansh's lip wobbled, indicating he was about to cry, and a second later he began to wail, waking up Shaurya.
Shaurya blinked quickly, glancing at the time that displayed around 5 o'clock in the morning, and he sat up with Reyansh on his chest.
"Shh. Why's my Rey-Rey crying?" He cooed gently, rocking Reyansh in his arms, sleep long forgotten when he heard his son's cries.
"P-Pa!"
Shaurya eased himself off the bed with Reyansh in his arms, "Yes, papa is here, baby."
Shaurya placed his hand on Reyansh's bum and noticed the diaper was full, "Oh baby, is that why you're crying? Papa will change your nappy real quick."
Reyansh continued to cry and Shaurya gently lowered him onto the changing table, cooing at his son when he stared at him with glossy eyes, "There, there, we'll get you changed."
Reyansh made grabby hands and Shaurya quickly unbuttoned the onesie, starting to blow raspberries into his son's stomach, which earned him a small set of giggles. "Aww, there you are. No more tears, hmm?"
He did quick work cleaning Reyansh up, putting him in a new diaper, and disposing of the old one in the bin. He looked back and found Reyansh babbling to himself while he sucked on his tiny thumb.
"Oh no, that is not clean, baby," Shaurya said, removing the thumb from Reyansh's mouth and wiping the saliva away with his hand, gently.
He grabbed a pacifier and eased into Reyansh's mouth, "There we go, my love."
He picked Reyansh up and bounced him in his arms, prepping his face with kisses, that earned him an adorable giggle. "Pa! Pa-pa!"
"Here baby, play with your toys, papa will be back in a few minutes," Shaurya muttered as he lowered Reyansh into the cot and placed stuffed toys around him.
He picked up his phone and pulled up the live CCTV footage of his room, and walked into the bathroom, occasionally glancing at the phone to ensure Reyansh was playing and not distressed.
He wrapped a towel around himself and walked out of the bathroom, heading back to Reyansh, who was occupied with a small elephant toy in his hand.
Shaurya quickly dressed himself in a suit, pairing it with a white shirt, and a black tie along with a black blazer and trousers. He picked up a comb and ran it through his hair a few times, his attention focusing on Reyansh, who had started to whine, seemingly because he had lost interest in playing with the toys.
He walked back to the cot and lifted the baby into his arms, running his large hand in circles over Reyansh's small back, "Yes, are you bored? You don't want to play with your toys anymore?"
"Pa!" Reyansh whined, spitting the pacifier out of his mouth and pushing the fingers into his mouth. Shaurya gently eased the fingers away from his mouth, "No Reyansh,"
