~ some months later ~

"Lyric stop, put that down." I told her, watching her pick up a basketball. The both of us, along with Tayleigh were in Walmart, doing some shopping for the baby.

"Aww, how many months are you?" some random pregnant lady asked. "Six. Almost seven." I smiled at her. "Almost time. Is this your first?" she wondered.

Just then Lyric tossed the basketball up, knocking stuff off the shelves.

"Lyric what did I just say? Put the ball back!" I raised my voice. "But I want ittt." Lyric slightly whined. "Well you're not getting it." I said.

"Uh, no this is not my first child. First pregnancy though." I then answered the woman from earlier. "How about you?" I asked. "My sixth." she nodded.

"Dayum." I uncontrollably said.

She chuckled a little. "Yea, my husband and I want a big family." she expressed. "Oh wow. Well I wish you the best." I smiled. "Thank you. You as well." the woman smiled as well.

As she walked off, my smile quickly faded as I looked at Lyric.

"Pick it up." I told her, pointing to the things that fell. She huffed, throwing her head back before picking up the stuff.

"Keep it up." I gave her a firm look. "But I didn't even do anything." Lyric tried to play innocent. "Mhm. See Tay falls for that. I don't." I stated, noticing Tayleigh was still not back.

She went over to the other aisle a few minutes ago.

"Tayleigh!" I shouted. "Damnnn woman." Tayleigh spoke from behind me, covering her ears while giving me a face.

"And you talk about me, but you over here yelling in public." she then said, putting something in the cart. "I didn't know you were walking up behind me." I explained.

"Momm, don't you like this?" Lyric asked, holding the basketball from earlier.

"Yea, it's cool. You want it?" Tayleigh asked her. "Yes please." Lyric nodded. I immediately gave Lyric a surprised look.

"Grab one of the new ones and put it in the cart." Tayleigh told Lyric. "No. I just told her that she wasn't getting it today. She's been being hardheaded all week." I explained.

"What she been doing?" Tayleigh wondered.

"Not listening and talking back. She only does it around me to stay on your good side." I stated.

"Not my baby Lyric. You been giving mommy Des a hard time?" Tayleigh wondered. "Noo." Lyric shook her head, tryna play innocent. "You telling the truth?" Tayleigh asked her.

"I didn't mean to. I'm sorry mommy Des." Lyric gave me a hug. I hugged her badass back, while giving her a side eye.

"Ima just get it for her and then put it up. She'll get it when she's listening and not talking back. Cool?" Tayleigh quietly tried to compromise. "Mhm. Whatever." I rolled my eyes.

I then started to push the cart, but Tayleigh stopped me.

"Why you acting like that? Don't be like that mama." she whispered to me, her grillz slightly showing. "Mmk." I nodded.
