Evie stands at the stove, scrambling the eggs.

"Here. Here, try this one." Delaney walks over, holding a spatula with a bit of pancake on it.

"What is it this time?" Evie asks with a small laugh.

"They're zucchini." Delaney says.

"Zucchi--" Evie frowns. "Okay, you've been around my dad too much."

"Never say that again." Delaney orders, earning a small laugh from her girlfriend. "You didn't like the maple ones, you might like these ones."

"Right." Evie mumbles. She grimaces before taking the bite of pancake. She hums, nodding while trying to hide her expression.

"So?" Delaney asks.

"It, um-- they... they're great." Evie smiles.

"Really?" Delaney raises her eyebrows.

"Mm-hmm." Evie nods.

Delaney returns to the griddle and Evie turns back to the stove, silently gagging, her face scrunched up in disgust.

"Here." Delaney puts a plate down, Evie looking down at the pancakes full of sprinkles.

"You made funfetti pancakes?" Evie smiles.

"Yeah, I knew you'd hate the zucchini." Delaney says.

"Ugh, I love you." Evie says, grabbing a pancake and biting into it.

"Mm-hmm. I know." Delaney smiles, kissing her cheek. "I'm giving the zucchini to your dad."

"That's sweet." Evie says.

"Eh, not when you know my reasoning." Delaney says and Evie gives her a questioning look. "I'm just making sure I'm always the favorite future in-law. Gotta keep Ethan knocked down a peg."

"Are we not in our mid 20s? This is still a thing?" Evie asks.

"Obviously." Delaney says making Evie laugh.

Libby whines as Ethan's alarm clock goes off. The man blindly reaches out, soon grabbing the alarm clock and turning it off.

"I hate that thing." Libby grumbles.

"I know." Ethan mumbles, wrapping his arm around her waist and scooting over to her. "Being an adult, am I right?" Libby groans.

"It's Saturday, dumbass." Libby mutters, tiredly smacking him in the arm.

"Oh, shit." Ethan hisses. "God damn it." He groans, his head landing back on the pillow.

"You don't deserve any cuddles until you start remembering to turn that thing off for the weekends." Libby says, pushing his arm away.

"But you love morning cuddles." Ethan says, wrapping his arm back around her. "And you love me."

"Not when you forget to turn that stupid thing off." Libby huffs.

"I'm sorry, baby." Ethan rubs her side. "I'll make sure it doesn't go off tomorrow morning. I promise. And every Saturday and Sunday from now on. If I forget, then... then you can ground me."

"That just punishes me, too, ya goof." Libby pouts at him.

"Oh, well, life is just so unfair." Ethan mockingly pouts making Libby roll her eyes. "Pick your poison." He tells her, kissing her forehead.

"I'll call Nathan and Billy." Libby smiles as she jokingly threatens him.

"Shit. Nope. No. Alarm's never on again." Ethan says, scrambling up to deal with the clock. Libby giggles at his panic, turning back over to fall back asleep.
