A few weeks had passed and I was still in Atlanta. I was reaching my 20 weeks mark, so we were planning my gender reveal my mom wanted it to be big because this was my first child and her first grandchild.
Since Ant played basketball, I searched Gender reveal themes on google and saw one that I liked. So the theme was going to be Free throws or Bows.
"So for the reveal, I bought a basketball goal that we're gonna put in the driveway. Oh and Kyla your granddad is coming." Mom mentioned rolling her eyes.
Her and my grandfather didn't get along for nothing. He was never really apart of my moms life or even mine.
"Okay." I spoke calmly, zipping up my Goyard duffel bag.
"What's wrong chile?" Mom sighed, noticing there was something bothering me.
"I dunno, I'm just emotional right now." I begin to sniffle.
"You and these damn hormones. C'mon baby." She pulled me into a warm embrace.
"You'll be home with the person you love, what's the problem Ky?"
"Ma what if he's lying or still talking to that bitch. I'm not sure if I can trust him." I cried harder.
"Baby he's not. Me and Anthony had a full talk. He's not communicating with her anymore, I promise." She reassured.
She doesn't know that for sure. Niggas just be lying. They will tell you anything.
"Well I guess then." I took a deep breath, before releasing from our hug.
