Anniversary (ch. 19)

"Hey." Dan said as he sat down across from me in the coffee shop. "What was it that you wanted to talk about?" He asked before taking a sip of coffee.

"Oh, okay I uh-"

"Wow I sounded like an ass just then. I didn't mean to cut straight to the point you just sounded desperate when you called me."

I smiled at how much he seemed to care about being rude and hurting my feelings. "It's fine I didn't really even notice. I just wanted to ask your opinion about something."

"Yeah go for it."

"I um- well what I wanted to ask was uh... since you have similar experience to what me and Connor have I just thought I'd ask you if um..." I started to stall saying what I wanted to say as Dan visibly got more annoyed from me not spitting it out already.

I took a deep breath and exhaled. "I want to tell Connor I love him. Tomorrow, like on our six month anniversary."

Dan raised an eyebrow and looked at me weirdly. "You haven't said it already?"

"Was I supposed to?" I asked confusingly.

"I mean, no, but usually people say they love each other before their third or fourth month. Personally Phil and I said we loved each other the night we became a thing but that's a totally different circumstance I guess. However since you started out as a sub to him that does make things different."

"That's the thing, what if he just thinks of this relationship as purely physical and he just wants control and nothing more? Then that just means I let myself fall for someone who doesn't even want to love me..." I said as "I started to get sad. "I asked Zoe and she's all for it, but I wanted to talk to someone who has experience in this stuff and has been around people with our lifestyle."

"If you want my honest opinion then I'd say that I think he does have feelings for you. You told me he's said he wanted to have relationship with you that's long term or even forever. That's not something you say to someone you just want to fuck for a few months. He doesn't seem like the guy to say he loves someone first, no matter how much he feels it. Maybe he'll really appreciate you spilling out your heart to him. Plus, as his submissive you aren't necessarily allowed to keep secrets from him."

"I guess you're right. The worse case scenario is that he doesn't say it back."

"Exactly."

We just sat there in complete silence as we sat and drank our coffees. After a few minutes of feeling awkward I began to talk again. "So how are things going between you and Phil?"

After that he went on and on about him, as if I opened up a gate to Dan's whole world.

The next morning I got myself up bright and early to make Connor breakfast for a change. I personally called Lusa myself and told her to take the day off. I had the music playing on low as I began to make the eggs. I didn't worry too much about him waking up early since he didn't get home until late last night. He made sure to have the next few days off for us to spend some time together, which resulted in him having to spend the last week working late into the night. I didn't feel too bad for him though, he got to spend hours a day working with famous musicians.

It's not fair, he gets paid to hang out with famous people and listen to their stuff. I'm his assistant and have yet to meet One Direction, Beyoncé, or any other famous artist who has blessed this building and he has. I'm his assistant, I should be meeting these people. But instead he has me sitting in the office rotting away. Maybe it has something to do with me asking what Harry Styles like, I don't know.

Nevertheless I decided that I should cater to him this morning. Because after that he's taking me to Disney Land since I've never been. Then we're going to have a couples massage and then topping it off with dinner at some fancy restaurant.
