Robert didn't know what to do. He didn't sleep that night — looking at the note all night, trying to figure out what it meant. Was that Jenny? It couldn't have been — he didn't even get a good look at who it was — it could've been anyone. "Shit..." He mumbled before sitting up in his bed — still holding the note, he looked at his alarm clock and saw that it was 6:30 AM. With a huff, he got out of bed and pulled on his jacket — he hadn't changed his clothes since he got home. With his shoes still on, Robert snuck out of the house and went to the police station — the note in his pocket.

Arriving at the police station — Robert stuck out like a sore thumb — "Excuse me?" He spoke in a quiet voice to the woman behind the counter — she didn't respond. Robert licked his lips and knocked on the desk causing the woman to look up. She was around her mid forties and was clearly miserable, "What can I do for you?" She asked as she looked back down at the romance novel she was reading. "I have evidence in a case. About Jenny Amick." The woman didn't react and instead handed him a card reading Detective Callahan's number — Robert was trying to keep his composure — "Miss, you aren't listening to me. I have the evidence with me — I have the evidence right here! I talked to Detective Callahan! I need to give this to him!" He exclaimed causing Detective Chase to walk out of the many rooms in the station.
"Detective — please listen to me." Robert pleaded before pulling out the note — "Please just listen."

Detective Chase brought Robert into an interrogation room — the guitarist placed the note down on the metal table. "I promise you this isn't a joke Detective." Detective Chase nodded, "I believe you, don't worry." If Detective Callahan had heard her just then — he'd probably fire her in the next second. But Riley, she knew deep down that Robert was telling the truth, "We have what, around twenty four hours now before there isn't a chance at Jenny being alive?" Robert asked her to which she nodded. "I'm telling you, I can help. Please just hear me out on this." He pointed at the note, "The person that dropped this had to have done it on purpose — they had to have known someone would come looking."
Riley examined the note, "Do you remember where you saw this person?" Robert nodded, "Yeah, I do. I can even take you there." If this was any other person — Riley most definitely would've declined but instead she nodded, "Okay." Perhaps it was the schoolgirl crush she had on Robert ever since she had first met him but her intuition was never wrong — most of the time at least — she knew that he was a good person and that there couldn't be a possibility that he was the one that kidnapped Jenny...... right?
—📻—
Riley drove as Robert directed her — it was around quarter till eight. "There — that's where we saw it — me and my brother." Robert's expression made it clear that he was scared to investigate any further. Riley quirked her brows, "Do you think Jenny was into something much deeper than we thought?" Robert looked at her, "I don't know Detective. But... her friends might know." Riley nodded, "Okay, and you don't have to call me Detective — my name is Riley." Robert nodded and gave her an awkward smile, "Okay... Riley." The woman looked away and hid her blush before going back to the station. One step closer to finding the missing girl — or was it one step back?
