Saera and Jacaerys awoke to hearing that the castle had been attacked, that ser Arryk had came to slain Rhaenyra in her sleep but failed, costing both his and his twins life.

Looking down at the two bodies, Saera couldn't help but had a heavy heart towards seeing them being buried together, "He is the basest of villains. He sullies the grave of his brother."

"I cannot fault him for keeping his oath," Rhaenyra spoke in hush tone, "And what of those who sent him?" Jacaerys asked and Saera hand glazed his which caused him to snap out of his thoughts and back to the real world.

Jacaerys turned away, his steps slow and thoughtful as he began the short walk back toward the castle. Grief still clung to him like a second skin, but somewhere beneath it, a flicker of hope remained.

Behind him, the soft rustle of fabric and footsteps on stone caught his attention. He paused and looked back to see Saera following at a gentle pace, one hand resting protectively over the curve of her growing belly.

His expression softened immediately. "How's the babe?" he asked, his voice low and tender.

Saera smiled, her eyes glowing with a quiet joy. "Quite well, I'd say," she replied, brushing a wind-swept strand of hair from her face. "The maester says my belly will start to show more soon."

Jacaerys reached for her hand, fingers intertwining with hers. He looked down at her belly for a moment, then back into her eyes. "You'll be a wonderful mother, Saera," he whispered. "And our child will be loved so very dearly."

Saera leaned into him, her head resting against his shoulder as they walked. "I didn't expect to want this, not at first. But now... I can't imagine anything more precious."
