Star date: Zero, one hundred hours, January in the year 2025
Place: Parents basement
Mission: To seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has ...
Sorry, I get a little treckie, like Star Treck ie., anyway.......
This is my attempt at an online journal.
Here it goes, I guess..
I'm sitting at a computer screen and completely bored. There is nothing good to play or read. My three favorite games I have already beaten. I have homework, but I am not motivated enough to do it right now. I'll probably go back to that old school RPG game I played a long time ago. It was fun, but a little repetitive.
______________
Before I started, I went to get a glass of water. I was pretty thirsty! A few moments later with a chimichanga and pop at my side I was ready to start. A pop just sounded way better for me than the water, when I actually went to go grab something. I have to admit, I am a little bit overweight, but not too bad, at least from my perspective.
A little about myself. My name is Calum Workyer. I am 20 years old and live in my parents basement. It's not too bad though, it's got it's own seperate entrance where I can leave without going upstairs. The house is built on a hill where the front part of the house looks like a single layer, but if you look at the house from the back, you see the exposed basement and door. The basement doesn't run the full length of the top part of the house. It's like its own large studio apartment on the underside of the house.
In the studio basement apartment, I have three computers, three trash cans (which are basically full), lots of health bar wrappers (too many), and posters of my three favorite games on the walls. I have a few more posters, but I'm not going to mention them here. My parents are letting me keep them up. They are not tooo riskque'.
My clothes are a little scattered around the room. Nothing I couldn't pick up real quick if I had some friends come over. I don't really have friends come over that much. I have friends..., Yeah, I have friends aat school.
Anyway, life's good. I got pretty good health. I got a couple of prospects in the girlfriend range. Well, maybe not, but I could always wish, right?
I'm about average height for the school I go to. I got black hair. Blahh, Blahh, Blahh
Sooo, on to the game.

So yesterday I logged onto the game. My username is : musclem4n.
See how I used the number four in place of the capital letter A. Yea, I thought of that.
Oh yeah, the game I logged into was my favorite old RPG style game called: Knight Rune Escape Online, or K.R.E.O. for short.
K.R.E.O. takes a while to load. It shouldn't considering the mega beefy computers I'm running and my AMAZE!! internet speed. It took some pretty pennies and some boring jobs to earn those bad boys.
You should see the computers, if you can even call them computers, at the school I go to. I go to one of those honking humongous, town-sized universities. I'm a little minion there.
O.K., back to writing about the game. The tired, old intro screen appeared on my computer. I call it old, but I guess the graphics are pretty descent. I think I saw a comment on K.R.E.O.'s website that the makers of the RPG are going to try to update the graphics and it's code to make the game and it's characters run smoother and faster.
I think they're trying to bring in some past gamers. It's just another money grab, but I would still like to see it improved. They'll probably try some modified A.I. (artificial intelligence) algorithm or some new thing like that.
I decided that next time I play, I'm not going to use my two saved characters that I already have for my musclem4n account. I going to create a new character.
______________
Whoah, they did improve this part of the game. The options of how to decorate the character are in up-to-date detail. There are more options of how to make a character.
I decided to create a male of large stature. I tweaked it's default settings to give him broader shoulders. I gave him some big calf muscles and thigh muscles.
I got to live up to my musclem4n username.
Anyway, he got some generic large biceps and a six-pack of abs (abdominal muscles). He got the name: NPC. I was feeling particularly unenthusiastic about coming up with a cool name.
Surprisingly the username was available, I have no idea why. Must be one of life's quirks.
I gave him some dark brown hair with a mustache/beard thing. I gave him some lightish-colored skin. I didn't give him some tattoo's, though there are many options. I kept a lot of the facial and body features generic, nothing too special. NPC looks like a regular doll, action figure or superhero.
Since he is starting at the very beginning, being basically a level 0, he is in a loin cloth. I'm going to have to level him up at least one level before he will be able to put on more clothes.
He starts with several 'stat' points that I can place in different areas to form his skills and personality.
I start with 20 stat points. I can increase things like strength, wisdom, intelligence, persuasion, agility, health bar points, mana (magic ability bank), charm, charisma, stealth, perceptibility, etc.
I really bombed out on my last character in this game, where I got to a point in the game where I didn't have enough perceptibility and my character died.
It was so annoying!
My previous character had come to a cliff that was supposed to be climbed. My characters perceptibility was so low that it didn't notice the boulder up above it and when it tried to climb the cliff, the boulder got shaked (somehow) and squashed my character. It sent me back to my save point. I lost a lot of progress in that game.
Long story short, with this new character I made, Mr. NPC, I made sure he had enough perceptibility. In fact, I was so upset about what happened last time, I decided to give all 20 stat points to my characters perceptibility.
Take that Mr. computer.
_______________
I had to go to school, so I didn't get to play the game, I just made the character.
I find that I talk to myself alot. It must have something to do with being a minion at school and by myself in my parents basement. O.k., enough of the degrading.
Me and my journal - sheeesh!
With my new character ready to start, I've decided to enter the RPG game and see what other new changes are in there.
