Gotham is a well-known city, the City of Sins, as many who have lived there would call it. Some outside are calling Gotham, yet some are drawn in by the illusion of making a big time with a good business, frame, and money. Some don't make it that high and have to live on the basics, and many live poor lives. Now we see winter has come onto the city and close to Christmas Eve/Day but some won't be sure about enjoying the holidays.
However, for the past two, halfway to three things were changing and crime was down by 10%. Not a big change but for a city that is known for crime and corruption, it was a pretty big one and changed things around. Better or worse, depends on who you ask but rumors were spreading outward of who was doing this.
A rumor of a bat flying around to cause changes.
That said wings of the bat have caused such changes to come and affect the criminal empires from those well-known families to new ones rising. Changes are coming and can be scary for even criminals but our story takes place at one of the buildings in Gotham. That said the building was a high-end apartment building known as Lacey Tower and was secretly used by a new crime boss known as Black Mask as part of criminal operations to safe house.
In one of the rooms of Lacey Tower, we see a nice and well-designed room but a closer showed blood and burns from some gore events, looking like the aftermath of a horror movie. On the floor, was a man who was hard to tell what he wore due to the fire that destroyed his body but wore this mask that was the shape of an actual skull and black as night or by the burning. It was hard to tell yet but in his right hand, he had a pistol that seemed to be military desgin. A woman hanging above to be this angelic figure yet was burned, electrified, and then shot to death. A handprint was left behind on a wall with a grey question mark written right next to it, these finger & hand prints belong to a certain bird of crime but why the question mark? That was a good question and a certain detective would find out after the cops find this crime scene very.
We see one man who was being dragged across the floor, struggling to break his handcuffs and trying to fight against his kidnapped but the drugs were slowly him down, and would fall into a dream soon. He wore this white attire from a coat/sports jacket, shirt with a black tie, black gloves, white pants with matching shoes, and lastly had this black skull-like mask.
This was Roman Sionis, better known as Black Mask (Brian Bloom) one of the new crime lords, and now seems to be kidnapped by this mystery person.
The said mystery person was whistling jingle bells, showing to wearing black attire from a hoodie to cover his head, ski mask, black gloves, black shirt, black pants with boots, and had this bag on his back for the time being. He was dragging the fallen kingpin to the streets below and was enjoying how the stage was set up.
"You are a fucking damn man! You hear me! You are dead! For killing my woman, I will rip you apart and tear your face off to feed all of it to my dogs while you fucking watch!" Roman shouted as he was being dragged, screaming in pure rage when taking part in that stupid death game and had killed his 'woman' known as Tiffany but was missing a lot of pieces of puzzles.
The mystery man just stopped his whistling and hummed as he kept dragging the wild dog with him. He knows that oftentimes a dog would bite back and Roman has a few barks to his bite but his arrogance to think he was untouchable. No one is untouchable.
"You hear!" Roman shouted before getting pulled up and soon felt something hard hit the back of his head once his mask was removed from his head.
The mystery man had removed the mask and used a crowbar to smack against the back of the head, knocking him out and soon throwing him into the trunk of a car with a tap over his mouth. He smiled when looking at the black mask in his hand and collected one piece of his puzzle.
"To be or to not to be? That is the question," The mystery man said like an actor on stage quoting a great writer's works.
"Ah, wonderful performance, my dear Sherlock~," A female voice, getting the mystery man or rather Sherlock's attention to turn around to see who was waiting for him at the car next to his.

This stunning beautiful woman was Tiffany Ambrose (Kari Wahlgren), a well-known daughter of a mafia crime lord and one of Black Mask's toys but in reality, she wasn't.
It was Tiffany's twin sister who set her up and tried to kill her tonight to gain the criminal empire from their father. She was able to kill her thanks to Sherlock and set up her fake death in front of that masked bastard. She was able to collect the DNA, and fingerprints of the Penguin himself to frame him for the murder of Black Mask & his lover. This boosts that desire to become the first queen of crime and combine her criminal empire with her lover's own down the line.
"Ah, my dear White Queen. I do perform the best after all," Sherlock said with a bow and placed the mask in his bag for the time being.
"I can tell. Creative to set the murder of Black Mask killing the bitch in a twisted game of yours," Tiffany admitted in surprise on the creative part than the cruelty.
"That but also setting the bird up for the cage. Sure, the Maroni would use this for their grain but the remains of Black Mask's territories belong to the Faclone and now your empire, White Queen," Sherlock said, being a charm and flare.
"And no one has any idea of your grand opening art?" Tiffany asked or teased, knowing that her interest couldn't help on leave some information behind that tied to his other personal.
"I don't expect the police to figure it out. A complex puzzle for those blue dogs is a tricky one. That puzzle is meant for someone else to discover and solve on Christmas Eve leading to Christmas Day. And other things are in place too," Sherlock explained but in the last part, his voice suddenly changed into Black Mask's own, and looking foward to testing his intelligence against another one.
"Careful, my dear. It might be hard to remove all of those masks later on~," Tiffany teased.
"We all wear masks, my queen. Is it the mask on our face or the one that is our face?" Sherlock asked in his original voice.
"Touche," Tiffany shrugged her shoulders with her eyes closed and a half smile on her face.
Oh, this was going to be an interesting beautiful partnership between the pair. The puzzle and stage were set up for a certain bat to be discovered but also faced a big trap ahead of him on Eve. Changes would come about this year, big changes indeed.
