Jeongin slumped back in his seat, exhaling deeply, feeling a mix of frustration and disappointment as he stared down at the large red "C" on the top of his paper. He had studied hard for that exam, but somehow he had still managed to mess up.
Just as the teacher finished giving back everyone their exams, she looked at Jeongin."Jeongin, you will stay after class."She said sternly, and then went bacj to writting on the board.Jeongin felt a pang of dread at the teacher's words. he was hoping to escape the classroom and wallow in self-pity, but it looked like he would have to face the consequences of his poor performance. He muttered an assent and resigned himself to being stuck in the classroom after that agonizingly slow class.

"I see your grades have been going down."The teacher said, looking down at Jeongin's report card.

Jeongin sighs and looking down at his lap, hearing the dissapointment in the teachers voice.

"I really dont understand whats going on with you Jeongin, you used to be my best student. You were amazing at math".The teacher said obviously disappointed, and all Jeongin could do is sit there and take the teachers scolding. She sighs"You will be staying after school everyday to take an extra class in math just like the rest of the students. And you will change this C into a B by the end of the month.Youre free to leave Jeongin".She said, giving Jeongin a goodbye.Jeongin stood up with an exhale, returning the quick goodbye to the teacher.
After a long walk,he was finally home.He stood in the doorway for a second trying to calm his nerves. His siblings were back home from school, playing video games on the couch without a single care in the world.Because of the big age gap between Jeongin and his siblings, one of his siblings was just visiting their parents for the week, while the other was far away from college.

He shuffled up to his room, closing the door behind him and flopping onto his bed with a loud sigh.He laid there, for a while, before reaching into his pocket, taking his phone out.As he turned the device on,his heart felt a bit of a light twist as he saw no notifications nor messages. All of his friends were home from school, yet not one texted Jeongin.Wow what the hell was he even thinking, theyre people too, they got lives of their own, away from only being friends with Jeongin.Even though none of them texted Jeongin,he already kinda knew what they were doing.Seungmin was definetly out with Hyunjin, and Hyunjin was with Seungmin.Thats how it always is.The two of them have been friends longer than Jeongin knew both of them combined. So he wouldnt really say they are like a trio, more like he was just kinda there when the two would hang out, like he was a keychain. But besides them he didnt expect anyone else to contact him,let alone-

"Hey Innie :)."A message from Chan decorated Jeongin's boring lock screen. His heart fluttered a bit, though he didnt really understand why.He has been getting this feeling everytime he was even thinking of Chan. But he already got rejected years ago,and he hasnt really been thinking of Chan these past eight years but,now thats he here,so close to Jeongin,he couldnt help but think about him a little bit...well more like think of him always.

"Hey,wyd."He facepalmed when he send the message,*who still even uses wyd?.*he though to himself.

"nothing much wby."Well looks like Chan does.
