"Cris!" I scream at my brother as I run to hug him. Once I reach him, he picks me up and spins me around, smiling. "How are you, anjinha? I miss you."

I wrap my arm around his waste and lean my head on his shoulder as he pulls my suitcase with his other arm. "I'm good, you? I miss you more." Cris begins to lead me towards the exit of the train station, ignoring all the people's looks. "Desprezar, por favor." He tells me harshly, ignoring my question and pushing our way through the paparazzi trying to get to his car.

Once we finally fought our way to the car, he slams the door on me and makes his way to the driver's side. "Babacas," he curses at them while I stay quiet. After a few minutes of driving in silence, I finally talk again.

"How is Junior... How is he really doing?" I ask him, knowing it's been hard for him not to have a mother figure since Madrãe moved back Madeira to be closer to Hugo, Elma, and Katia, and their kids. She couldn't favor one child over the others, and her other grandchildren, as well as her birthplace, even if that one child was a world famous soccer player who traveled every weekend and had no one to help him with his son. And since Cris is the only one who knows who or where the mother of Junior is, his son is left without a female presence.

"He's... still adapting to not having her here. He loves Adriana, which is good, don't get me wrong, but I think he wants a mother figure, who he know will always be there not just 9-5, or is paid to be his mom. But, não sei. I'm not used to not having Mama there, so I can't imagine how it's been for him. He'll probably go there for the summer, though." Cris sighs towards the end, as if wishing he could just find someone who would be there for both of them.

"Why the summer? You have off? Why don't you both go? With my new job, I probably won't have that much time off, but I'll come out for a week." I ramble on and on.

"What new job?" He asks. Oh, fuck. I did say new job. Shit. I didn't want to have this conversation while he was driving.

"Uhm, right. I forgot to tell you I got a new job... I actually just got it a few hours ago... That's why I was coming to visit you. I'll tell you more about it, later." I say trying to be diplomatic, and hope he won't read too much into my nervousness.

"Oh ok... Uh, well I can't watch Cristianinho while I'm at the World Cup, now can I, Irmã?" Cris teases me.

"Ohmygod, that's right! I completely forgot! So, how's Portugal looking for that?" I ask nudging him, as he turns into his driveway.

"Like... I'm still the best. Iker and Sergio are saying Spain is looking good too, though, which is worrying, considering their last performance. Marcelo and Casemiro think Brazil are really going somewhere, especially playing on home soil. Angel is being cocky about having Messi, but I mean he'll choke just like last time," He explains, laughing at his last comment. I laugh nervously thinking about Messi, since I'll be working with him next week, much to my brother's chagrin.

Cris helps me out of the car before going to get my suitcase. Just then, Cristianinho runs out of the house right for me, yelling "Tiaaaaaaa!" I pick the young boy up and spin him around while squeezing the life out of him.

Later, when Junior is asleep, I walk into the giant living room where Cristiano is laying on the couch reading something on his iPad.

"Cris, can we talk?" I ask him tentatively sitting next to him.

"Claro," He answers, sitting up, "You can always talk to me, about anything. Is it money? Is your job not paying enough? Is that why you got a new one?" He asks worriedly.
