The room was so quiet as the put their attention on the news that Kelly had shared with them. I sat there unbothered because I knew of it already.
Onika just sat there stunned as Robyn face went through a series of emotions. Kelly just looked between them waiting for them to give her an answer. You can tell her nerves were starting to get to her.
"You're what?" Robyn faced dropped. Kelly was approaching 4 months and she couldn't hide her bump anymore.
"Pregnant Robyn." Kelly answered again. She answered this question already and it was unbelievable to them. I feel like she answered the question like 10 times already. How unbelievable can it be?
"By who?" Robyn scrunched her face up. Kelly just looked at Robyn and back at me.
"You don't have to tell them." I shrugged.
"Wait, she knows before us? The hell kelly?" Robyn exclaimed frustratingly. I frowned my face up.
"I'm confused on what that's supposed to mean?" I scrunched my face at her.
"We've been here friends longer, best friends. I'm not sure how you found out before us." She rolled her eyes.
"When has time duration matter in anything?"
"Time duration always matters I don't care how anybody tries to brush it. It still doesn't ease my confusion." Robyn aimed the last sentence at Kelly.
"Take a look at your actions and that should determine for itself on why she didn't tell you." Obviously she wasn't comfortable with them on that kind of level yet again to tell them.
Or like she said, she was afraid of being judged.
"What actions should there possibly be that we have to watch? I could've sworn we were past all that."
"Mm obviously not if I found out before the best friend." I shrugged.
"Can yall both stop? I just.. confided into bey. She has some of the best advice, that's all." She tried to clarify but once again, Robyn wasn't trying to hear any of it.
"And we don't?" Kelly just stayed silent. It was obvious she didn't want to do this back and forth. I'm sure she didn't expect it at all, but more so... easy sailing.
"Wow." Robyn scoffed.
"I didn't say that but, she just gives insight without, I don't know, giving off judgy." Kelly tried to explain but Robyn just didn't care. I personally believe she was mad for another reason.
