I held the phone up to my ear, trying to control my frustrations with my blonde over the phone. She kept giving excuse after excuse instead of accountability.
It was starting to tick me off. It was like she wasn't hearing what I had to say at all.
"You don't want to be around me or something?" I spoke into the phone as I paced across the floor.
"Where did I say that Onika?" She sighed, like she was tired of talking to me. Tired of this conversation.
"You don't have to say it. Actions speak louder than words." I really have been seeing her less and less, it's truly bothering me. Like what did I do?
"Onika, I simply been busy. If I had the time I promise I would've been over there." She tried to plead her case, but I wasn't trying to hear it.
"There's 24 hours in a day Beyoncé. You definitely could've came over when you were finished doing whatever is so important. But, okay." I just hung up the phone and tossed it on the bed.
I heard it vibrate and saw her name flashing across the screen. I powered my phone off and tossed it over to the side. I really don't want to see anything associated with her, yes that means her contact name.
"Onikaaaa." Ocean sung my name out.
"Hi my baby." I went over to her and pulled her into my arms. I missed her so much, I miss both my sisters. It's like I barely see them anymore.
"I got you some cotton candy." I took some of the cotton candy that was in the bag and gave her the rest.
Cotton candy can be a bit too sweet for me sometimes. Plus, this isn't even the flavor I like the most. Traditional cotton candy flavors will always be the best flavors.
"Hey sister." Ming smiled. She seemed to be more happy these days. I'd like to think it's because of the relationship forming between them and our parents.
They want to be with them all hours of the day.
Ming came over and gave me a hug.
"Mama outside for you." I slipped my crocs on and grabbed my jacket before heading outside the door, going to the car hopping in the passenger seat.
"Hey mama."
"Hey baby. I got you this.. it reminded me of you when we were out shopping." She shrugged. I opened the box and it was a lilo and stitch charm braclet.
