It had been a long, frustrating night without her, and now that I was finally going to see Nandini again, the anticipation was killing me. Rakshit, that idiot, had made it worse by showing up early in the morning, all smug and teasing as usual.

"Let's go, Yash. You've been missing Queenie too much, so I'm here to keep you company," he had said, grinning like a fool.

I had resisted the urge to punch him then and there. He knew exactly how much I hated being apart from her. Nandini had gone to her grandfather's place the previous evening, wanting to spend some time with him before the birthday celebration today. Despite my many attempts to convince her to let me come along-attempts that involved both charming requests and a few underhanded tricks-she had still refused.

"You'll be fine for one night, Yash. " she had said with that knowing smile of hers, the one that always managed to both calm and infuriate me at the same time.

But now, finally, I was going to see her. And I couldn't wait.

Rakshit and I were getting ready in my mansion, and of course, he had to keep running his mouth.

"So, what's the plan? You going to sweep her off her feet as soon as we get there? Or are you planning some grand, romantic gesture? You know, to remind her why she shouldn't leave you alone again," Rakshit teased, pulling on his suit jacket.

I ignored him, straightening my cufflinks and checking my reflection in the mirror. The black suit I had chosen for the day fit perfectly, sharp and intimidating-just how I liked it. My thoughts, however, were already far from here. I was thinking about her. About Nandini.

I smirked at the thought of what was coming. She had left me behind with Rakshit, of all people, and for that, she was definitely going to pay. As we headed to the garage, I chose her favorite Porsche, already imagining the punishment she was going to get once we were alone.

"Let's go," I said, not bothering to acknowledge Rakshit's latest sarcastic remark.

The drive was smooth at first, but then, as expected, we hit traffic. I didn't have the patience for this today. Without missing a beat, I used my powers to teleport us straight to her grandfather's place, car and all. One second, we were stuck in the middle of the road; the next, we were pulling up to the grand entrance of the estate.

As soon as we stepped out, everyone in sight bowed in respect. They knew exactly who I was and what I represented. The King had arrived, and they showed their reverence accordingly.

We made our way through the entrance hall, heading toward the main living area where Nandini's grandfather was hosting the private birthday party. It was a small gathering, just close family and a few trusted business partners. No outsiders were allowed, and I preferred it that way.

As we entered, her grandfather greeted us warmly, his eyes crinkling with a smile.

"Ah, Yashwardhan! Rakshit! Welcome, welcome. It's good to see you both," he said, his voice filled with the authority and charm of a man who had spent his life building an empire of his own.
