Chapter 26: Relic

Damian, Sam, and the Solarclouds stare in fear at the tall fire whirlwind, hoping the once cheerful man would calm down. "Has he ever done this?" Ivory asks quietly towards the stunned humans, Damian and Sam still staring at the whirlwind. Damian shakes his head, his eyes never looking away. "No...He's never even swore..." Hearing Yuuya swear was the most surprising bit to the members of Orion's Pax. Sure he had some anger moments, lecturing the pair whenever they had put themselves in danger or have made some rather idiotic decisions. Nothing as extreme to what they are seeing now. "Yuuya..." Sam whispers worriedly.
Red, that's all he sees. Ash, is all he smells. Thumps, is all hears, Rage, is all he feels. When the light had died down, Yuuya had looked around until he felt something missing. He looks to his side, his eyes widen as dread fills his core. "No..." Tyrhung, his sword. The very last thing he got from Rise of Farstar back when he was Sakura, the struggle he faced getting it. One of the last things he ever talked about to his brother on his last night, how he had wished to show him what it could do...The very thing he held dear, missing. The sword and its sheath gone from his side. "No..." His mana started to leak out as the situation started to settle in his mind. Yuuya is so focused that he misses his name being called behind him. "That bastard..." Yuuya softly says. He vaguely hears someone say "what" before he screams out "That fuckin bastard!" Yuuya loses control of his anger and releases it through magic, specifically into fire magic. His eyes are glowing brightly now, but Yuuya doesn't notices as he looks up into the sky, swearing internally to hunt down that thief, no matter what. It takes a couple minutes before Yuuya feels his anger slowly die down, allowing him to control his magic again. He forces his magic to settle down, the fire whirlwind dying till it ceases to be. Yuuya breathes heavily as he tries to calm his racing heart and emotions, forcing his magic to stand down. "Yuuya?" He takes a deep breath before looking behind him, seeing his friends standing to the side, their eyes filled with fear and concern. Yuuya's heart breaks a little knowing he was the cause of it, however, his face remains determined and angry. "I'm fine." Yuuya looks up, observing the tall building next to him. "I'm gonna catch this fucker." Yuuya suddenly jumps up on the roofs, using his wind magic to reach the tall building easily and quickly, taking everyone by surprise. When Yuuya had turned, Sam and Damian had noticed his sword missing from his side, realization dawning on them. "Oh shit." "His sword...it's gone." Callian and his party look away from the departing man to the pair, the captain asking, "His sword? Is that why he was so mad?" Damian rushes to the building, following his captain, leaving Sam to explain. "Yeah, but I'm not sure why. He always has it whenever we go on adventurers. The only time he doesn't is when we go visit the kids..." Callian nods while he and his party copy Damian's movements. Sam looks back to where Yuuya once stood, seeing the major burn marks and destroyed wood in the area. His eyes frown in concern at all the damage his friend's anger left behind. "Yuuya...please be okay."
Yuuya stands at the very top of the building, smelling the air. "Where the fuck are you..." The wind working against him, Yuuya decides to use his far sight skill, scanning the entire capital. He looks over very carefully until a familiar figure crosses his sight. Yuuya focuses back on the figure and sees Jack running through the back alleys. "Gotcha..." Yuuya jumps off the building before Damian and the others could reach him. Damian looks over the edge and yells out "Yuuya! Where the hell are you going!?" Yuuya doesn't answer and uses his wind magic to solidify the air to run to his destination, using his eyes to track his prey. Jack continues to run, laughing in sick glee at his success. "Yes! I finally got away from those assholes! Now I just need to head back and-" His thoughts are cut off suddenly when a body crashes into him. The pair roll for a few feet until they crash into a wall, making people nearby scream in terror. Jack groans before looking up, seeing a fist coming his way. "Oh shit!" He rolls to the side and side kicks the attacker. The man blocks and grabs his leg to pull him closer. Jack grunts and uses his other leg to kick him off before rolling backwards to look up. His eyes widen in shock at seeing a familiar face. Yuuya is panting hard after using so much mana and tackling the man down. Jack groans and stands to his full height, "You just don't know when to give up, do you?" Yuuya doesn't say anything and watches the man very carefully, waiting for his next move. The two stare at each other until Jack throws a punch, Yuuya dodges easily and throws his own hits. The two throw several attacks at each other, both able to evade and block. When the pair are stuck in a standstill, their hands clasped together as they try to push the other, Damian, Sam, and the Solarclouds finally reaches them. "Yuuya!" Sam's loud voice momentarily distracts the disguised beast-man, allowing the thief to twist his grip till he's holding Yuuya in a chokehold while pressing a knife to his throat. "Stay back! Or I'll kill him!" Yuuya grips the arm around his neck hard, making Jack grit his teeth in slight pain. "Give it back..." Yuuya says in a hushed tone, the thief unable to hear. "What?" The grip got incredibly stronger, startling the man as Yuuya loudly exclaims, "Give it back!" Yuuya leans forward and brings Jack forward with him, using the momentum to flip the man to the ground on his back, slamming all the air out of his lungs. Before the man could move, Yuuya swats the knife away and jumps on his waist, pinning his arms and body down in the process.
Yuuya's eyes are glowing very brightly now as his rage starts to boil over, startling the trapped man. Seeing his upper arms pinned, Jack bends his elbows up to grab onto the disguised beast-man's arms while chanting, "See the cruelty and the pain, that you have caused once again. I turn the tables three times three, bring light to your actions, I will be free. When the light fades and dusk comes through, the pain you caused will come back to you." As he chants black veins appear on his arms, climbing up onto Yuuya's, reaching up to his face. Yuuya bites his lip hard, enduring through the pain as his grip tightens. His friends gasp when they see the marks and rush to him, "Yuuya!" Said man looked up briefly, flashing his eyes at the group before looking back down and yells out, "Stay back!" Everyone stops in their place, heeding the man's command. Yuuya continues to put pressure on Jack, summoning all his strength to hold out. "I got this, I'm fine. Don't get any closer, you could get infected too." Everyone stands to the side nervously, Callian starts to chant, preparing a healing spell. Jack and Yuuya grunt in effort as they try to withstand each other's strength. Jack panting as his arms go slightly numb from the pressure, he tries to kick Yuuya off, the pain only getting worse. Yuuya breathes heavily as he tries to stay awake, the black veins growing across his entire frame. "G-give it up! Hahaha you-you! *Pant* Can't keep th-this up..." Jack brags while his breath comes out short. Yuuya only squeezes more, faintly wondering if the man's arms have broken when he yells out in agony. "Have you ever played chicken?" Jack squints up at the disguised beast-man, questioning his sanity. Yuuya continues without hearing a response, "It's a game where the players, like you and me, try to hold it out until one of them gives out. Let's see, can you outlast my grip long enough before I pass out from your spell or will I be able to withstand your magic long enough to break your limbs?" Jack's face goes pale as Yuuya squeezes more, his bones protesting loudly. Yuuya glares at the man, forcing down a scream when the black veins pulse in sync with his heart, bringing waves of pain. He leans down to whisper threateningly, "You game?"
During the whole exchange, Gunter runs up to the group, seeing them standing off to the side. "What the hell is going?" His loud question makes everyone jump in surprise and they turn quickly towards him. "Guildmaster! What are you doing here?" Callian asks, not expecting the man to join in on the hunt. Gunter leans to the side, seeing Yuuya pinning a man down. One that looked very familiar. "I got a report stating that a man had unleashed a very powerful fire spell in the capital. I came to investigate. What's going on over there?" His eyes widen when he sees Yuuya covered in black veins, the man sweating as he concentrates. "Shit-go get a healer! Callian, start chanting a light spell. Ivory, Matthew, go find some medicinal herbs now!" Before Gunter could go over to Yuuya's side, Damian and Sam stand in his way. "Wait! Don't go over there. Yuuya knows what he's doing." Sam pleads, unsure how to act should the Guildmaster decide to pass them by force. Damian puts his hands on hips, "I know how this looks, but trust him. He can handle this." Gunter eyes the two before looking back up Yuuya, seeing him gripping the pinned man hard as he tries to struggle out of his grip. Gunter sighs and steps back, allowing Yuuya to continue. Just before Yuuya could snap the man's arms, Jack shakes his head rapidly, tears forming in his eyes. "N-no! Please don't-" The black veins start to fade away from Yuuya's skin, taking the pain away with it. Yuuya sighs in relief and slowly eases his grip, still holding tight should the man decide to make a run for it. He looks up at his friends, the group look as though they have been holding their breath the entire time. "Anyone got any rope?"
Yuuya finishes up the bow on the ropes around Jack's wrists, feeling accomplished. He claps his hands together before placing them on his hips. Yuuya looks over and gives them a thumbs up with a smile, "See? I got it." Damian and Sam run over to his side and check him over. "Are you okay Yuuya? Black magic curses are the worst." Sam asks while inspecting his arms, looking for any signs of the curse. Damian grabs his face, turning it left and right, "Yeah curses are no joke. They're usually used in assassination attempts." Yuuya smiles and gently takes each other hands, rubbing them calmly. "I'm fine, I'm good. Callian healed me." Callian, hearing his name, rushes to Yuuya's side and pulls him into a bear hug. "Oh Yuuya! You had me so worried! Don't ever do that again." Yuuya laughs nervously as the man cries in a comical fashion. Callian lets go when Diana smacks the back of his head, making him hold it in pain. "That's enough captain. Let the poor boy breathe." Yuuya silently thanks the woman with a nod before his body stiffens when he sees Gunter walking over to him. He gulps when the man stands right in front of him. Gunter stares him down on him, making Yuuya nervous, so nervous that he flinches when the man lifts his hand up. Yuuya opens his eyes, when did he close them, when he feels a warm hand ruffle his hair. "Don't ever do that again son. I don't want anyone to ever risk themselves like that. Got it?" Yuuya blinks owlishly and nods with a smile, not wanting to worry the man. The smile is wiped off his face when he hears Jack cussing loudly, "Fuck off! I'm not telling you shit!" The air grows heavy again, making everyone gulp in fear, knowing exactly the cause. Yuuya swiftly turns around, walking right up to the tied man, his face stoic as he leans down. "You and I aren't finished." He roughly grabs his collar, bringing his face closer, his anger growing. "Where the hell is my sword?" Jack scoffs and smiles mockingly, "Screw you." Yuuya sighs before standing up bringing the man to his feet. He quickly grabs his legs and flips him upside down, shaking him. "What the fuck!? Let me down!" Everyone watches in mild surprise and laugh at the scene, finding it as a form of payback towards the thief. Several objects fall from his pockets. Coins, jewelry, gems, many things. A familiar green jewel falls to the ground, catching Yuuya's eyes. He drops the man half hazardously, and slowly picks up the jewel while inspecting it. "Fuckin asshole." Yuuya ignores the comment and rubs the jewel, holding it to his forehead and praying that the jewel was what he thinks it is. It takes a few seconds, seconds filled with anxiety as everyone waits for a response from the man. Yuuya senses mana coming off of the jewel, showing him a vision of his beloved sword in some kind of room, the vision goes blurry the harder Yuuya tries to focus. Seeing his sword was enough evidence to confirm that the jewel was a piece of his sword. "Good. Now to find that room..." A sudden memory pops into Yuuya's head, a hidden ability his sword has. Yuuya smiles before his face goes neutral again and looks back at the tied up thief on the ground, glaring at the squirming man. He leans down and shows him the jewel, narrowing his eyes as he talks, "Last chance, where. Is. My. Sword?" He emphasizes each word while getting into the man's face, daring him. Jack glares back and spits out, "Fuck. You." Yuuya leans back and sighs, "Okay then. My way it is." He looks back at Gunter and ask, "Did you hear him? He refused to give up the location of his horde." Gunter nods, wondering where this was going. "Yeah, I heard him." Yuuya smiles confidently and stands up, picking Jack up and slinging him over his shoulder. "Wh-hey! What the hell are you doing!?" He struggles to look at the disguised beast-man as Yuuya concentrates on the jewel. "You probably didn't know this but...this ain't no ordinary jewel." Said jewel started to shine as Yuuya slowly pours mana into, catching everyone off guard. Jack stares in bewilderment as Yuuya smirks at him, "This here has a special honing ability." A bright green light envelops Yuuya's hand until the light forms into a beam, pointing in a general direction. Jack grows worried when he notices where the light is pointing at. Yuuya looks back at everyone, smiling in glee, "Let's go get our stuff back!"
Yuuya follows the light quickly, jumping off the walls and roofs of buildings. All while holding the struggling man over his shoulder, his friends try to follow the disguised beast-man, marveling over his speed. "How the hell is he moving so fast!? He's practically bouncing off the walls at the speed of light!" Matthew yells out, panting in exhaustion, not the only one in the same predicament. Diana breathes heavily as she comments, "Damn! It's like he's not human!" Damian and Sam sweatdrop nervously as they run, thinking how they have no idea how close those claims are. After twenty minutes, Yuuya finally stops in a back alley behind a shady building looking like it hasn't been used in years. Yuuya puts the man down while observing the outside of the building, using the jewel to get some idea where the opening was. Brutus and Diana hold Jack's shoulders, restraining him from running. Damian, Sam, Callian, and Gunter watch curiously at the disguised beast-man as he circles the area. "What is he doing?" Callian asks, seeing Yuuya look up and down. Damian and Sam answer at the same time, "No idea." Wondering what he was looking for. Gunter watches intensely when Yuuya stops in front of a wall, the beam of light going right through it. He looks up, the gears in his brain turning. "Hmm I wonder..." His gaming senses tingling as he places his hands on the wall, roaming the surface as he searches for any signs. Jack grows more panicked as Yuuya slides his hands on the wall, "H-hey! What do you think you're doing!?" Yuuya doesn't answer and feels a slight dip in the wall, his eyes opening as he smiles in triumph. "Gotcha." He pushes down more until a click is heard. The wall abruptly moves, sliding to the right forcing Yuuya to take a step back. Everyone gasps when they see the wall reveal a secret opening. Yuuya looks at them and motions them over, "C'mon, let's go!"
He leads the way as he summons a small flame in his hand to light up the dark passage, still using the beam of light as his guide. It takes them a few minutes before they reach a door that is covered in glowing magic circles. Yuuya cautiously touches the door, but he snatches his hand back when a very sharp bolt of electricity zaps at him. Jack laughs at his confusion which draws everyone's attention on him. "Good luck with that! That's a magic seal, the toughest of all locks. You are never getting through there without me. Ha! If you make a deal with me, I might just give you a hint." Everyone frowns at their dilemma, not wanting to let the man go but they need to gain access to that door. Yuuya frowns as he tries to think of a solution, filtering through his gamer knowledge. "If this is a magic lock then it needs a steady flow of mana to keep working. If the flow is unstable, then the magic circles should disappear. I'm not sure where the source is so how can I disrupt the flow..." Yuuya thinks back to how he unleashed that fire whirlwind, how much mana it cost him. "Hmmm if I can't destroy the source, then maybe I can overwhelm the magic circles themselves..." Yuuya cracks his neck and stretches his arms, making Sam and Damian look at him in confusion. "Yuuya? What are you doing?" Gunter and the others look at the disguised beast-man as he steps towards to the door once more. "Callian, Guildmaster. Could you set up a barrier?" Questions marks pop up above everyone's heads as Yuuya cracks his knuckles, wondering what the man had in mind. "Uh Yuuya? What are you doing?" Damian asks while Sam steps closer to his friend. "Yuuya, you're not gonna do something crazy again are you?" He questions as he puts his hand on Yuuya's shoulder. Yuuya simply looks at him and gives a vibrant smile with his fist up, "I'm gonna break down the door!" Stunned silence fills the room as everyone's jaw drops to the floor. "Wait what!?" They all shout as Yuuya gently pushes Sam back to the crowd and walks back in front of the door. Callian snaps out of his daze first and yells out, "Are you crazy!? You can't break down the door!" Ivory, surprisingly, yells out next, "The magic circles are too strong, you can't force your way in!" Damian joins in, "Yeah! You'll get yourself killed if you try!" Several more people voice in their worries except Gunter and Sam, too speechless. Yuuya simply ignores them and summons his magic, his entire body glowing as he readies himself. His magic display stuns the group into silence, feeling the man's overwhelming power. Yuuya looks back once more and says, "I suggest you put up a barrier and stand back." Everyone looks at each other before Callian, Ivory, and Gunter chant, setting up several layers of magical protection. Once Yuuya deemed them to be safely protected, he looks back and transfers more mana into his fist. The mana buildup grew brighter and brighter in his hand as he rears back, planting his feet as his eyes glow brighter in determination. Once he felt almost drained, Yuuya swings his fist forward while yelling loudly. The moment his fist makes contact, a bright light explodes as a loud crash shakes the passage, drawing several shouts as a few layers of the barrier break away completely. Callian, Ivory, and Gunter grunt in effort as they summon more mana into the last remaining layers of the barrier, praying that it would last. What felt like hours was in truth only a couple of minutes before the light died down. Only when the light had completely disappeared does Gunter, Ivory, and Callian release their hold on the barrier allowing it to disappear. Everyone looks over and their jaws drop in shock.
Yuuya is still standing, panting slightly from using so much mana. He looks up and sees that his effort did not go in vain. The once proud door decorated with powerful magic circles, lays on the ground crumpled as the brightly lit circles flicker before fading completely. He sighs and looks up, gasping at the extravagant sight. The room is practically glowing with all the piles of gold coins, jewelry, and other rare gems scattered all across the floor. Weapons both large and small, simple and unique, some are even glowing, cover the walls and ceiling. Some are floating in the air. Several pieces of clothing can be found all over the place, some are displayed on mannequins. Yuuya doesn't notice his friends moving to his sides, they too flabbergasted by the sight. "Oh my Goddess..." "This...is amazing." Only when Gunter slaps Yuuya's back does everyone snap out their daze. "Hahaha! You did it! I can't believe it. You really are something son." Yuuya rubs his head sheepishly before realizing his true mission. He rushes into the room, frantically searching through all the piles of gold before moving onto the next pile. "Where is it where is it where is it!?" Everyone simply stares before they focus on Sam and Damian, the two watching Yuuya curiously, "Is he okay?" "Yeah he just used a crap ton of mana. He should be resting!" "Agreed, I'm surprised he's still moving." Sam and Damian simply chuckle nervously as they watch the disguised beast-man tunnel his way through a pile of gems, "Yeah, he's good." "I once was saw him get stabbed through the chest by a banshee and get back up. I think he's fine." Both stare intensely, waiting for any signs of fatigue from their friend. "Hopefully he has enough mana to keep his disguise up until we get back to the inn." Sam thinks worriedly. "He seems fine for now, but he did use a lot of mana on that door. Best to keep an eye on him for now." Damian reasons internally. Jack stares in horror, his mind unable to grasp at what he just witnessed. "Th-this can't be...That door was supposed to be fully secured! How the hell did that guy break it down!? It's not possible!" Yuuya searches across the wall before he spots a a blur of light blue peeking out from the corner. He rushes to the corner and yells out happily, "Ha ha! There it is!" His beloved weapon is seen standing against the wall, shining brightly as if it was thrilled to see its owner's return. Yuuya grabs his weapon carefully, smiling in relief as he gently places the jewel back in its rightful place. Once placing his sword back on, he looks over and sees everyone searching the room, obviously trying to find their own belongings. He smiles and decides to join in on the hunt, easily able to find Damian's talisman and Sam's necklace, their scent aiding in the search. "Sam! Damian! Look what I found!" Both men look up at hearing their names and smile happily at seeing their precious gifts in Yuuya's hands. "You found them! Thank you." Yuuya passes the offered items to them, glad to be of help despite providing so much already. Damian easily puts his talisman on his waist once again, however, Sam stares at the necklace, a guilty look covering his face. Yuuya frowns at the blue haired man, "Sam? What's wrong?" Damian notices his friend's demeanor, Sam sighs sadly as he extends the necklace back to the disguised beast-man. "I can't take this...I don't deserve it." Yuuya stares at his friend for a couple of seconds before a warm smile forms on his face. He gently takes his hands, closing Sam's hand to cover the necklace and securing his hold on it. "Keep it, you need it more than I do. Besides! It's a present, from me to you." Sam stares dumbfounded at the disguised beast-man, Yuuya smiles bigger. "It's rude to return one's gift, isn't it." Sam's face glows bright red, trying to argue, "B-but I lost it! You trusted me with this and...I lost it. I'm not worthy..." Yuuya laughs, startling the two. "And that's what makes you so trustworthy! Sam, you mean a lot to me. You too Damian!" He adds hastily, not wanting to exclude the man, making him blush. "I'll be fine. I have light magic so this is useless to me. You having this would make me feel a lot better." Yuuya pushes his hand, urging the man to take it. "I trust you, Sam." Sam still looks uneasy, but sighs and slowly puts the necklace on, the pendant swaying on his chest. Yuuya smiles in glee and hugs them. "See! We got our stuff back! Isn't that great?" The humans chuckle and grumble before hugging the man back, enjoying the warmth radiating off of the disguised beast-man. The trio miss the pleased looks from the Solarclouds and Gunter, enjoying the wholehearted scene.
It takes everyone about an hour to find all their belongings, Orion's Pax helping them as well. Gunter informs Callian to signal the rest of the Adventurer's Guild and the royal guard on the situation, wanting to start the process of returning the public's possessions while also handing Jack to the authorities, the man still stunned over his defeat, not even trying to escape from his bonds. While Gunter and Callian talk, Yuuya looks around eyeing all the precious treasures before his eyes catch on a soft light blue glow coming from the back of the room. He looks around him, wondering if there was anyone near him before walking closer to discover the source. Yuuya sees a dark violet, thick book. The cover decorated in silver lines that resemble a ley line map of a continent that looks unfamiliar to him. The pages are softly glowing, indicating that the book was not normal. Yuuya gently picks up the book, surprised how light it was despite how thick it was. He examines the outside carefully, trying to get some idea of the book's identity. "Hmmm no title...Maybe it's a spell book." Yuuya feels a strange pull the longer he holds it, an urge telling him to open the book. Yuuya stares hard at the book, idly wondering if he should follow his instincts. Just as he opens the book, Yuuya vaguely hears someone yell, "Yuuya don't-" before a bright light erupts in front of his eyes, his vision going white. When he opens his eyes he sees he is no longer in the treasure filled room, instead outside that looks to be foggy. He rapidly looks around, confusion filling his core. "What the-where am I!?" He hears faint laughter and looks over towards the sound. He watches as children that are slightly clouded, blurry to the man's vision, run past him, playing some kind of game. Yuuya slowly walks around, seeing more blurry people along the way. He could barely hear people talk lightly, some are drinking happily, laughter still filling the air. He stops when he sees a man clear as day sitting in a chair in front of table that had the same mark that's on his chest, writing in a book. The thing that surprises Yuuya the most is the man's features: red tipped, white tall furry ears and a long fluffy tail with the same color style. Features that remind Yuuya of his own. The man looks behind him, his face somehow hidden, only his lips are shown. The man smiles at him and speaks lightly, "Hello there. You must be new here." He raises his hand, motioning the nervous man over, "Come, have a seat. Don't worry, I don't bite." It takes Yuuya a few seconds, still feeling uneasy, before he decides to move. He sits across from the man, allowing him to see the book, recognition crossing his face. "Hey! I know that book!" The Grimoire of Serenity. A magic item that holds records of a forgotten king, allowing the user to gain ancient knowledge about a certain area from a certain video game...The Rise of Farstar. A tool from the game that helps the player find secret passageways and hidden bosses in the underwater ruined castle location, a tool that Yuuya has now. He looks up, wondering how the man has gotten a hold of such an item from a fictional game. He can see the pages were dyed in dark blue, the words written in glowing white ink. Even the cover resembled a night sky, glowing white dots looking like stars twinkling in the night. Yuuya can confirm without a doubt this book and the book from his game is one and the same. Yuuya stares at the man hard, silently urging the man to talk. The man smiles wider, clasping his hands together as if finding the scene funny. "You've read my book? Fascinating. You definitely don't belong here." Just as he finished that sentence, the scene starts to grow dark, the voices suddenly disappear, making Yuuya panic as he looks around him. "Wh-what's happening!? What's going on?" The man seems to not notice the change in scenery and leans forward, letting Yuuya see his glowing violet eyes, "Good luck Yuuya. They know you're here, it's only a matter of time. I suggest you gain the Sacred Beasts' help if you want to protect your friends." Yuuya feels himself falling, he screams out, "Who are you!?" He never received an answer, his vision going completely black.
Yuuya gasps and sits up suddenly, his breathing coming out fast. The sound of his rapid heart beat drowning out all outside noise, making him panic more. Thankfully, he is not alone. The smell of honey and cinnamon fills his nostrils, instantly calming the distressed beast-man. "Yuuya. Yuuya! Calm down, take a deep breath." "That's it, you're alright. You're safe." Yuuya breaths gradually slows down. Once his breathing was under control, Yuuya looks up and sees a pair of green and golden eyes. Sam and Damian watch Yuuya carefully, worry covering their faces. Yuuya takes a couple of breaths and smiles reassuringly at them, grabbing each of their hands on his shoulders. "I'm okay...*Sigh* I'm good. Thank you." They don't let go for a bit, waiting for any sign that the beast-man would go into another panic attack, before finally releasing their hold on him. Yuuya finally notices the room they were in, the walls were a darker shade of wood, bookcases lining up the wall, each one filled to the brim with books. No sign that they were in the usual inn. "Um guys...where are we?" Sam and Damian grow nervous, Sam decides to answer first, "The Adventurer's Guild. You passed out back at the hideout." Damian answers next, "We had to rush you back. When you suddenly opened the relic, a bright light exploded in front of you, blinding everyone in the process. By the time we could see again, you were on the floor, the book closed in your arms...in your beast form." Hearing his disguise went down, Yuuya quickly reaches up and feels his soft ears, confirming his suspicions. Yuuya sweatdrops as the humans stare at him, "Luckily, everyone still couldn't see so Sam and I quickly covered you with a random robe we found in the room. It was difficult getting everyone off ya." Sam nods and adds, "If it wasn't for the Guildmaster, we wouldn't have made it back here safely. Although..." Damian and Sam grow uneasy, remembering what happened. Yuuya looks between the two, his anxiety climbing, "Although what?" A voice disrupts the silence, "Although they had to come clean to me." All three snap their heads at the source of the voice, seeing Gunter by the door as he enters the room and closes it behind him. He walks closer to them, crossing his arms. "Seems like you've been hiding something from me, son." Yuuya gulps nervously, fearing how this will go down.
