As soon as Needle opened the door, Bookmark went running over to Thread, who was sitting on her bed.

"Bookmark!" She said excitedly.

"Thread!" Bookmark responded. "It's so good to see you!"

Needle was happy to see the girls excited, "I'm going to leave you two here, let me know if you guys need anything!" She closed the door behind her, leaving the two girls a lone.

"What did you do over winter break?" Thread asked Bookmark.

"We stayed at home mostly." Bookmark said. "It was nice to not have to deal with homework, and just be able to sit alone in my room all day. I heard from my moms that you went on a ski trip!"

Thread nodded, "Yeah, I didn't exactly ski because it was too hard to do it with my wheelchair, but my parents said they'll take me eventually. Everyone else skied though, and they had a lot of fun. Well...except for my dad, he hit his head while trying to chase Dimey and one of my cousins, Sprinkle."

"Oh no!" Bookmark put her hands on her cheeks, "is he okay?"

Thread nodded, "He ended up being fine, although he had to leave the trip early because it was too noisy. He had this thing called a concussion."

Bookmark tilted her head in confusion, "What's that?"

Thread explained, "It's like a bruise, but on you're brian. That's how my Auntie Barf Bag described it to me, she's a doctor!"

"Oh, that sounds serious!" Bookmark's eyes widened in concern. "Is he still hurt?"

"He's getting better," Thread assured her. "He just needs lots of rest and quiet. But don't worry, my moms are taking good care of him."

Bookmark nodded, relieved. "I'm glad. That must've been scary, though."

"It was," Thread admitted. "But I think he'll be back to normal soon." She paused, looking at Bookmark. "I wish Flare could come, but apparently she went away somewhere warm."

"Same here," Bookmark said, "She's so lucky that her parents will take her to warm places when it's cold out."

"I don't mind the cold, especially when it snows!" Thread exclaimed. "When we were away, my Auntie Barf Bag and my cousin Sprinkle made a snowman while everyone else was skiing, it was a lot of fun. Plus, we got to have hot chocolate afterwards!"

"Well...I do love hot chocolate!" Bookmark admitted. "My moms make it for me sometimes, it tastes really good!"

Thread smiled, "Maybe I can ask my mom to make some, she's really good at making sweets!"

"Which mom?" Bookmark asked.

"Pin!" Thread said. "She loves to make food, especially baking. My other mom and dad help her out in the bakery sometimes, although, apparently my dad burnt the cookies one time, and they wouldn't let him use the oven for a while!"

The two girls shared a moment of laughter before Bookmark looked around, taking in Thread's room. "I like your room, it's so colorful!"

"Thanks! My moms let me pick out all the decorations," Thread said proudly. "I love bright colors! It makes everything feel so happy."

Bookmark nodded, her eyes landing on a bookshelf filled with all sorts of games and toys. "Wow, you have so many games! Do you wanna play one?"

"Of course!" Thread said, looking around at all of the games, trying to decide which one of them the two should play. "How about Hungy Hungy Hippos? It's a game where you try to make the hippos eat the most marbles."
