It was test day, the day when all the Avengers collectively watched you train. They picked out all of the little things, giving you advice before the ultimate test.
Bruce had said you looked stiff at first, then more relaxed as your training session went on.
Thor congratulated your strength and Clint, your accuracy.
Tony was surprised to see you so intense during the training, and the super soldiers watched on, impressed. All in all, the initial part of the day went well.
You were informed of this test a week prior, Natasha telling you over dinner and you nearly spitting out your milk on Bruce who sat across the table from you. Pietro laughed so hard he spat out his.
A week prior everything had been okay, and then it was stress. You were entirely too stressed for this. It was going to determine your control and your freedom. Your final test.
Nick Fury was going to watch you spar. He pitted you against Natasha once more, hoping to see that your control had improved over the last few weeks.
You thought it had, and the rest of the Avengers agreed, each noticing an improvement in both your mental state and your openness. You talked a little more, and even smiled more than you first had. Though much like Natasha and Bucky, smiles were rare and reserved for only the Avengers themselves. Not that you saw anyone else other than occasional agents or office workers at the tower.
Tony sat you down while you were waiting on Fury. "I need to inform you of a few things that may happen if you're allowed to go on missions," Tony told you. You nodded, signaling for him to continue. "Do you know what a paparazzi is?"
"No," you said while shaking your head slightly.
"They're people who cover the media on Earth. They often follow us around when we are out to get pictures or video footage of us. Sometimes they even approach with questions or are reporters," Tony told you as if you were a kid.
"Oh- similar to the video footage you had of Loki when we were looking for him?" you asked.
"Yes, except if you were to join the Avengers and fight alongside us, it would be way more. I want to know if you think you can handle that before sending you out there. I wanted to warn you. Us uh- humans..? Not used to that still..." Tony trailed off scratching the back of his neck. "We are fascinated with aliens. So it would make sense for them to hound you about different things that you don't remember."
"So they just want to know about Asgard?" you questioned.
"Basically, and how you like it here," Tony explained. You slowly nodded, unsure of what you would tell them. "Anyways, I just wanted to let you know. We all have to deal with it so we'll be beside you to help." Tony stood up, walking off to talk to Steve.
