rylee ???

Rylee furrowed her eyebrows at the last message Nicholas had sent her before she remembered what she had originally ended their conversation for. Rylee quickly picked up the phone, sitting up on her bed. "Rylee! How are you?" Her agent Kate asked, in her usual perky voice that always brought a smile to Rylee's face.
Rylee grinned to herself before answering. "I'm fine Kate how are you?" Kate hummed at her answer. "I'm good! So you know how a few days ago you said you'd get back into acting?" Rylee nodded her head yes even though Kate couldn't see the action through her phone.
"I do, what about it?" Rylee swung her legs off her bed going over to her curtain, letting the sun shine through. "Well what if I told you a direction reached out to me and wants you to audition for a new role?" Rylee froze in her spot all this new information flooding her system. "Now no one's expecting you to make the decision today but try and get back to me by the end of the week about it? I emailed you all the details."
Rylee thought back to the text she revived from Nicholas a few minutes ago and now it all clicked. He knew. Which means he definitely got asked. Rylee snapped out of whatever trance she was in knowing she had to answer the women. "Alrighty, look Kate my brothers need help with something but I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can ok?" She heard Kate say a small ok before Rylee hung up the phone not knowing what to say.
Rylee had mixed feelings about the job. Of course she loves acting and most days wants to get back to it. She always says that if she was given the opportunity again she would grab it in a heartbeat. But if she felt that why was it so difficult to figure out what she wanted to do about this?
Maybe it was the fact that all last night she had been jotting down different songs, a possible new album being brewed up. Or maybe it was that she hadn't acted in years and she might be a little rusty. Whatever it was it was eating at her.
Everytime she's put in a big predicament she always goes to her brother Connor for advice. Rylee has great bonds with all her brothers each of them being different than the other, but what she had with Connor was completely different from what she had with the other two.
They just got each other on a deeper level. They've always joked that it's because both of them suffer from severe anxiety, but that's how they really do get each other.
Rylee let out a huge sigh as she plopped on her brother's bed, him scrolling on his phone. "Well good morning to you too Ry." He joked before turning his phone off putting his full attention on his sister. "What's up?" She sat up and faced her brother sitting criss cross. "Kate just called and said that a direction reached out to her and wants me to audition for their new show."
Connor thought that news would bring such joy to his sister's face and really light her up, but she held an expression that was the complete opposite. She looked gloomy and stressed. "That sounds like good news but I can tell you don't think it is."
Rylee shrugged playing with her fingers. "I know it should be good news and part of me is really excited.." She stopped for a second. "But?" Connor questioned aware that he'd have to push a bit to get it out of her. "But the other part is stressed, worried and confused all in one. Like how am I gonna balance singing and acting. And what if I'm rusty I mean I haven't acted in years-"
Connor cut off his sister's rambling, knowing that if she continued all the stuff she said would just get into her head even more. "Rylee I love you but you have to stop." Rylee let out a loud breath, her head falling into her lap. "I have all the faith that you'd quickly bounce back to how you were before, probably better. You balanced singing and acting once before who's to say you can't do it again."
Rylee ran a hand through her slightly knotted hair knowing her brother was right. "Ya but my music wasn't as big back then." Connor stifled a laugh at how she said big bag but covered it with a cough when he saw the daggers she was shooting him. "Yes but you haven't promised the fans anything, for what they know there's a possibility you haven't even thought of your music."
The smaller girl gave her brother a small smile before they shared a quick but meaningful hug. "You really do fit the name 'comforting Connor'."
"Never call me that again."
