"I'm alive." I laughed.

"Where are you?! I need to see that beautiful face again!" He exclaimed.

I could practically see his smile through the phone.

"I'm at the Westin that's next to Jack Johnson's work." I replied.

"I'll be there soon." He said and I hung up.

I got up and went into the bathroom, looking to see if my makeup was messed up from crying.

It was a little but it was just a minor fix.

I changed into comfortable clothes and put my hair into a messy bun.

Right when I finished I heard a knock on the door.

I ran towards the door, so excited yet nervous to see Matt.

When I opened the door Matt immediately came in a engulfed me into a hug.

"I missed you so much." He whispered.

I adjusted a little so that I could jump onto him. "I've missed you too."

He put me down and I gave him a weird look, I never wanted the hug to end.

"My arms were getting tired." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes and punched his arm.

"Not helping!" He fake frowned.

I just wanted to kiss him right now. I wanted to press my lips onto his and feel the butterflies and sparks I once felt.

But I couldn't.

"So how've you been?" I asked sitting on the edge of my bed.

"Pretty good." He simply replied.

"How about you?"

"Well I'm a photographer in New York so that's great, I live in an apartment." I couldn't really think of anything else.

Matt grabbed my hand and I tensed up.

He still didn't know I was engaged.

It took him a while to feel the cold piece of metal that was on my finger.

"Oh your engaged." He half smiled.

"Yeah." I breathed out.

"Who's the guy? Is he nice? Does he live with yo-"

I cut him off. "His name is Sammy, yes he's nice and yes he lives with me."

Matt let go of my hand and looked down at his shoes.

"Why?" He looked up at me.

"Why what?" I asked.

"Why did you leave me and then get engaged to Sammy."

I didn't answer.

"Wait, Sammy Wilk?" He asked.

I just nodded and looked at my ring.

"I think I should go." Matt mumbled and got up.

"Please don't leav-"
