Pre-note:

I previously planned to release it last week but shit happened and I really didn't feel like writing. One of the things being chickenpox. And let me tell you, these dots don't discriminate.

They. Were. Literally. Everywhere.

Fml

I nearly passed out a few times and almost threw up a little more but I'm fine now. 4/10 experience. Probably because I was vaccinated against it. The itching wasn't too bad and the symptoms weren't horrible. And I didn't get forced to do things that I didn't want to do so that's great

I probably failed 1-3 subjects in the meanwhile. I've got the results and everything but I'm too scared to look at them

I can't bother researching about the monsters in Solo Levelling so stuff will be made up to my whims. If it looks rushed it was. Ignore the shitty written fight scene

❗️IMPORTANT❗️

From this chapter and onwards I'll be making the Western continent language underlined. Not really necessarily needed to know for the plot, but Cale thinks in the Western continent language since he was there for the last two years but it won't be underlined because that would take too much effort on my part. The GoD and Ancient Powers will also be like that and they can also understand Korean, just choose not to use it.

They've been travelling for two days and the monster sightings have increased.

Kim Chul looked back at his team who are cleaning themselves up after they killed two wandering orcs. Most were dirty and exhausted after barely having a rest. He glanced up at the orange sky streaked with yellow.

"We will stop here" he ordered as everyone turned to him.

Kim Chul organised the night watch rotations and separated the rations. They didn't have much left and they didn't have time to hunt. The quicker we find the boss, the sooner I get out. There is no need to hunt if I won't be staying here long.

He flinched and whipped his head around as he felt eyes on him. Seriously? Again? It's been days and this feeling still shows up. Even after I checked the first few times, I still can't find the source. Kim Chul stares at his team. It must be just me then. I'm just paranoid.

He still felt like he was being watched.

The next day, they finally found the base of the monsters.

Kim Chul frowned as he pulled his axe out of the leaders body.

It was easy to slaughter all of them.

Too easy.

His suspensions proved correct when the gate didn't appear after killing the leader of the monsters. He clicked his tongue at the thought of going on another goose chase.

"Kim Chul-nim, there is something strange here" he turned to look at the mage who stood at the edge of the battle. A sort of trail led away from the clearing the orcs used as a base.

It didn't look like much.

It could easily be over looked.

But the broken branches and stones occasionally lining the edges of the path drew his attention.

Why would they need this? Why make a path when they haven't even made any form of shelter?

The mage waited for his orders next to the start of the trail.
