"Fourth body this month? He's escalating." Seokjin said as he and Namjoon walked over to their newest crime scene.

"Maybe... I have a feeling this might be the last body for awhile." He said as he walked a bit ahead of Seokjin. He gently patted the M. E. On the shoulder. "Joowon, what do we got?"

"Another male, mid to late twenties. He hasn't been here that long. I think your killer was here not too long ago." Joowon said.

Namjoon and Seokjin share a look before an officer walked over to them. "Detectives, we have another witness." He said before leading them over to the older man.

"Hello, I'm Detective Kim Namjoon, this is my partner Detective Kim Seokjin... could you tell us what you saw?" He's asked.

The witness, a weathered man with deep lines etched into his face, shifted nervously from foot to foot. He looked up at the detectives, his eyes wide with the remnants of shock. "I... I was just coming home from my late shift at the diner," he stammered, swallowing hard. "I saw him dragging the body. He was alone."

"Can you describe him?" Namjoon asked, leaning in closer, his pen poised over the notepad.

The witness nodded slowly, his brow furrowed in concentration. "He was tall—really tall. And good-looking, too. Like someone you'd see on a magazine cover. Strong but like lean, like he worked out or something but his waist was small. I thought he was just a guy helping a friend, but then I realized... he was dragging that poor kid."

Seokjin's interest piqued. "What about his demeanor? Did he seem nervous or agitated?"

The man shook his head. "No, he was calm. Almost too calm. It was like he didn't care at all. I thought maybe he was just trying to help, but when he looked at me... I felt this chill. It was like I was staring at a shark or bear ... a scary animal, you know? Not human... Just so... cold."

Namjoon jotted down notes, his mind racing with the implications. "Did you get a good look at his face? Any distinctive features?"

"Not really," the witness admitted, frustration creeping into his voice. "He had a hood pulled up, but I could see his eyes. They were dark. Intense. I—I didn't want to stick around to see more. I just backed away and called you guys."

Seokjin exchanged a worried glance with Namjoon. "Thank you for your help. You did the right thing by coming forward."

As they turned to leave, Namjoon looked back at the witness. "If you remember anything else, please reach out."

The man nodded, his hands trembling slightly as he watched the detectives walk away, the weight of the encounter hanging heavily in the air.

"Do you think this is our guy? He didn't chop this body up," Seokjin said, eyeing the covered form with a mix of curiosity and dread.

"Yeah... something is shaking him," Namjoon replied, his brow furrowing in concentration. "He's killed before, and he's getting a bit sloppy. Until now, he's never been seen, but now... he's taking risks. Something has changed in his life—either he's getting too bold or he's worried."

Seokjin nodded, processing Namjoon's words. "If he's feeling cornered, he might be more dangerous than ever. We need to find a way to connect with that witness again."

"Agreed," Namjoon said, pulling out his phone. He glanced back at Joowon, who was examining the body more closely. "Anything else from the examination that could help us?"

Joowon frowned, shaking his head. "Not much yet—just that this victim fought back. He had a few bruises on his face and some dirt under his nails, which means he was on the ground for a while. It shows he was trying to defend himself. This suggests the killer may have caught him off guard."
