Chapter 8: Asshole

I woke up to hands on my face, and giggles. I opened my eyes, seeing Lou on top of me, squishing my face, dribbling.

Her hair was all messy and she wasn't dressed and her nappy hadn't been changed.

I sat up slightly. "Hi, baby. What are you doing?" I smiled.

She giggled. "Daddy on the phone."

"Oh is he being too loud for you to sleep?" I asked. I could hear him yelling on the phone.

Lou nodded. I stood up, and picked her up holding her on my hip and left my room.

Rhys was in the kitchen, shirtless, only in pajama pants, cooking bacon. He just hung up the phone as we entered.

"Good morning, you woke your baby up." I frowned.

Rhys looked at me, his eyes looking over Lou snd i.
"Sorry," He came over with open arms and Lou wiggled out mine and into his giggling.

"Bath, Daddy. Bath."

"Yeah, i'll give you a bath." He said. He looked me up and down. "I'm sorry she woke you."

"It's fine." I smiled softly.

Rhys nodded slowly. He looked different today. Stressed, tired.

"Do you want me to bath her?" I asked. I wanted to help.

But i shouldn't have asked. His face turned into a scowl. "You aren't seeing my daughter fucking naked."

I cursed myself, nodding. "You're right, i'm sorry."

He turned around walking away.

I went to my room, and i got dressed.

I had to go run some errands today and visit my parents.

I knocked on the bathroom door. "Rhys, i'm leaving, i'll be back later."

"Where are you going?"

I could hear Lou's baby babbles and splashes in the bath.

"I've got errands to run and i have to see my parents."
