Acrid smoke spread across Chernobog, piercing the sky higher than any skyscraper the city had to offer.
The already ruined streets became further decimated under the plight of war, the participants honed to follow its steps in a dance.
The beautiful structures that dotted the cityscape now remained in soot and ash, left to rot and decay under the shadows of the hands of the Empire that had left it.
Lappland ran through a section of the city, swinging her blades all around as corpses piled upon her path.
To her, it had been boring, like a chef chopping ingredients on their board. Mundane and proving of no difficulty; something the Lupo woman did not quite enjoy as fighting a good opponent.
"Ugh," the woman let out a sigh, flicking her two katana-like weapons to get rid of the blood. She thought back to that white haired man, the way his eyes seemed to see through her.
It was irritating, especially that stupid mask that he put on for the world to see. Wasn't it ironic? The barrier he held up around himself all the time just proves that he could never show his true self to others.
Lappland scoffed at that, but what made him even more insufferable was that atrocious aura accompanying him every day of the second.
It was terrifying, bringing her a primal fear on par with that red 'wolf' that kept stalking in the shadows around her.
But at the same time... 'damn is it exciting to go against it!'
It was just her instincts screaming at her to run away from him, but in the training room she had charged him head on, ignoring the cowardice of her primal emotions.
The White Devil continued charging through groups and structures, uncaring of the scratches and bruises that accumulated across her body as it happened; she had experienced much worse in the gang wars back in Siracusa.
"Is this what you call a war?!" Lappland swung up vertically with both her blades, slicing some white mask in half, before jumping back as an arts blast landed in front of her. "It's pretty disappointing if you ask me!"
She crossed her arms, swords pointing behind her as she aimed it towards the group of casters and crossbowmen.
She swung while an arrow barely grazed past her cheek, sending off a white slash tinted with a black aura, tearing through their ranks as she continued on to follow it.
An explosion erupted from her right, on top of a tall building as the top section started to fall downwards onto her.
The woman grinned, jumping upwards as she met it straight on. There was a broken window, in which she jumped through and saw the interior of the building for a brief second.
It looked like a ruined bedroom, but it flashed through her too fast for Lappland to really care. She found herself bursting out from the other side, as she landed on the other side of the severed structure.
It was still falling, but she decided to run along it and make a powerful leap once she had reached the edge.
An arts blast erupted at where she once was, blowing the falling section to smithereens as she careened through the air in a twirling back-flip.
The arts casters further back bore witness to a sight of a flying black and white figure, as they caught a glimpse of her expression.
She was smiling.
Energy gathered around the groups of arts casters as shielders moved forward to protect them from any attacks, but the still spinning upside-down woman flipped herself into an upright position as she readied her blades.
