Years had passed since the epic battle that united the Dark Forest with the world beyond. The scars of that conflict had faded, replaced by the vibrant life of our village and the warmth of love that surrounded me. I had become a pro hero alongside Shoto, and our partnership blossomed into a beautiful marriage filled with laughter, challenges, and unwavering support.

It was a peaceful morning in our cozy home nestled at the edge of the Dark Forest. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow across the kitchen as I prepared breakfast. The smell of sizzling eggs filled the air, accompanied by the soft sounds of birds chirping outside. I loved mornings like this, filled with a sense of calm before the day's adventures.

Shoto walked into the kitchen, his hair still damp from the shower, and a comfortable t-shirt hugging his toned frame. He offered me a sleepy smile that made my heart flutter. "Good morning, Y/N."

"Good morning, love," I replied, turning to him with a grin. "I made your favorite breakfast."

He moved closer, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me into a gentle embrace. "You always know how to make my mornings better."

As we stood there, I felt a flutter of nervous excitement in my stomach. I had been feeling a bit different lately—more tired than usual, a strange craving for pickles, and an unusual sensitivity to smells. I had brushed it off, thinking it was just the stress of being a pro hero. But now, as I caught Shoto's scent, the realization hit me like a bolt of lightning.

I was pregnant.

The thought sent a thrill of excitement coursing through me, but also a wave of nerves. How would Shoto react? We had talked about starting a family, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon.

"Hey, can you hold on for a second?" I said, pulling away from him reluctantly. "I need to grab something."

"Of course," he replied, a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

I hurried to our bedroom, my heart racing as I reached for the small box I had stashed in the drawer. I had bought a pregnancy test a few days ago, feeling a nagging suspicion in the back of my mind. As I held it in my hands, I took a deep breath, the weight of what I was about to find out settling on my shoulders.

I rushed back to the bathroom, trying to steady my nerves. After a few agonizing minutes, I stood there, staring at the result. My heart raced as the two lines appeared, confirming what I had hoped for. I was pregnant.

"Y/N?" Shoto called from the kitchen. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I'll be right out!" I replied, trying to keep my voice steady.

After a moment of gathering myself, I emerged from the bathroom, clutching the test in my hand. Shoto raised an eyebrow at my expression, clearly sensing something was up.

"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked, concern etched across his face.

I nodded, swallowing hard. "I have something important to tell you."

His eyes widened, and he nodded, giving me his full attention. "What is it?"

Taking a deep breath, I stepped closer to him, holding out the pregnancy test for him to see. "I'm pregnant, Shoto."

For a moment, the world around us seemed to pause as Shoto processed my words. His expression shifted from surprise to pure joy, a radiant smile breaking across his face.

"Really?" he asked, his voice filled with disbelief and excitement.

I nodded, tears welling in my eyes. "Yes, really! We're going to be parents!"

He pulled me into a tight embrace, lifting me off my feet as he spun me around, laughter bubbling from his lips. "This is amazing! I can't believe it! I'm going to be a dad!"

As he set me down, I felt a rush of happiness wash over me. His excitement mirrored my own, and in that moment, all my worries faded away.

"Do you think we're ready for this?" I asked softly, my heart still racing.

Shoto cupped my face in his hands, his eyes shining with determination. "We've faced so much together. I know we can do this. We'll figure it out, just like we always do."

I smiled, feeling a wave of warmth fill my heart. "You're right. Together, we can handle anything."

Shoto leaned down, capturing my lips in a tender kiss that made my heart soar. "I can't wait to tell everyone!" he exclaimed, pulling back with that boyish excitement I loved so much.

"Let's give it a day or two," I suggested, giggling. "I want to enjoy this moment just between us for a little while longer."

"Fair enough," he agreed, his smile softening. "Just know that I'll be here for you every step of the way."

As we settled into the warmth of our home, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder about the journey ahead. We had fought against darkness, forged our own paths, and now we were embarking on a new adventure—one filled with love, challenges, and the promise of a family.

In that quiet kitchen, surrounded by the aroma of breakfast and the warmth of our love, I knew that we were ready for whatever came next. Together, we would embrace this new chapter, hand in hand, heart to heart.

And as the morning sun rose higher in the sky, I felt a sense of hope and excitement for the future—a future where our love would grow and flourish, just like the vibrant life of the Dark Forest we called home.
