Rhodes island and the Yeti Squadron stood in a four way street intersection. The former was surrounded by the latter group.
Frostnova had her arm pointed directly at the group, eyes tensing as she prepared her arts. "This is as far as you go, Rhodes Island."
The Doctor simply stared at her silently, despite his group tensing up and in battle positions, the man didn't have much reaction to the predicament they were in.
Why?
Frostnova paused as she stared into his eyes beneath the visor, not a care in the world laid beneath them.
She would find out, when the sounds of something falling echoed above her, prompting one of the Yeti Squadron members to scream at her.
"Sister! Above you!"
A blinding light of scarlet heat made itself known, as Frostnova hurriedly turned her body to face it head on.
Her hands reached above her head, dispelling her arts in vast amounts. As the high temperature of Blaze's arts impacted Frostnova's ice, a shockwave surrounded them. They had entered a contest of firepower.
"Between your cold and my heat, let's see which is stronger!" Blaze exerted more effort, causing Frostnova to let out a groan, increasing her output in response.
"All units, evacuate! Leave this place right now!" Frostnova yelled out to her units as she struggled further.
Blaze looked on at her in shock, as the Yeti Squadron screamed out in despair at what was transpiring.
Rhodes Island shielded themselves from the force that seemed to shake the entire sector of Lungmen in which they were standing, causing buildings to quake beneath their clash.
A wave of ice erupted, covering multiple city blocks as everybody was blown away. Blaze realized that it was not going in her favor, so she broke off from the clash to go assist the Rhodes Island members.
First, she had to output her arts in a way that protected her from the below freezing temperatures of Frostnova as she retreated, also angling herself in a way that shielded the attack from her allies.
Thanks to Amiya's combined effort with the Fline's, they were able to fend it off without sustaining any damage.
What they didn't account for though, was the ground freezing beneath them, looking like it would shatter at a slight misstep.
Shatter at a slight misstep it did, as everybody's attention turned to the cracking land around them. As a result, they were all forced to vacate the area, Yeti Squadron included.
Unfortunately for both sides, the Doctor and Frostnova both felt the ground collapsing beneath them first.
The grumbling sounds of the earth filled the Doctor's ears as he could see the sky getting farther and farther away from him, only breaking away from his sight as he saw a white figure fall along with him.
His hand that was covering his face to shield it from falling debris lowered, he noticed that it wasn't Frostnova, it was...

.
"...Gojo?"
The enigmatic man was falling upside down beside him, simply smiling in response to his words.
'...What took him so long?' Though, the Doctor couldn't linger on these thoughts much longer, seeing how the abyss below them was approaching faster and faster...
