The weeks rolled on, each day weaving a tapestry of shared moments and deepening feelings between Shoto and me. Our relationship blossomed in the open air of the Dark Forest, with our walks under the canopy of stars and quiet conversations that stretched into the night.
One evening, as we sat on a large moss-covered rock by the river, I could feel a sense of contentment in the air. The sound of flowing water and rustling leaves created a soothing backdrop, and the sky was a canvas of twilight hues.
"Y/N," Shoto began, his voice soft yet serious. "I've been thinking a lot about everything—about us."
My heart raced. I turned to face him, searching his gaze for clues. "What's on your mind?"
He took a deep breath, his eyes reflecting a mix of determination and uncertainty. "I want to introduce you to my siblings. Fuyumi and Natsuo. I think it's time for them to meet you."
I felt a rush of warmth at the thought. "Really? You want me to meet them?"
He nodded. "They know about you, and I think they'd love to see how happy you make me. Plus, it's important to me that they understand our relationship."
A smile spread across my face. "I'd love that. Your family has been so supportive of you. I want to be a part of that."
Shoto's expression softened, relief evident in his features. "Great. I'll talk to them and set something up."
As we continued to talk, I couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation bubbling within me. Meeting his siblings would mark another step in our relationship, and I wanted to make a good impression.
A few days later, Shoto invited me to his home for dinner with Fuyumi and Natsuo. As I prepared, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. I chose a simple but elegant outfit that felt comfortable yet thoughtful.
When I arrived at the Todoroki household, I was greeted by Fuyumi's warm smile and Natsuo's easygoing demeanor. They welcomed me in, and the atmosphere was surprisingly relaxed.
"It's great to finally meet you, Y/N!" Fuyumi said, her enthusiasm infectious. "Shoto has told us so much about you."
Natsuo chimed in, "Yeah, I've been curious to see who's captured my brother's attention. He's usually so reserved."
Shoto stood slightly off to the side, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "They're amazing. You'll see."
As we settled around the dining table, the conversation flowed effortlessly. We shared stories about our training at U.A., funny mishaps, and our dreams of becoming pro heroes. I could see the bond between the siblings; it was heartwarming to witness.
"You should tell them about that time Bakugo accidentally blew up the training area," I suggested, laughing at the memory.
Shoto's eyes sparkled with amusement as he recounted the story, and his siblings joined in with laughter. I felt a warmth spreading through me, grateful for the acceptance and camaraderie.
After dinner, we moved to the living room for dessert, where Fuyumi brought out a beautiful cake she had baked. "This is my specialty—chocolate and raspberry," she announced proudly.
As we enjoyed the cake, I caught Shoto watching me, a soft smile on his face. It made my heart flutter; his gaze held so much affection.
"Y/N, what do you think about Shoto's training?" Natsuo asked, turning the conversation toward my perspective.
I took a moment, considering my words. "I admire his dedication. He pushes himself hard, but he's also learning to balance that with what he wants. It's inspiring."
Shoto glanced at me, a flicker of appreciation crossing his features. "Thank you. It's important to have people who understand."
"Exactly!" Fuyumi agreed. "Family and friends make all the difference in the world of heroes."
As the evening wore on, I felt more at ease. Shoto's siblings were warm and welcoming, and it felt as if I was becoming a part of something bigger.
Later, after dinner was finished and our laughter lingered in the air, Fuyumi stood up, clearing the table. "I'll handle this. You two should catch up."
Natsuo nudged Shoto, winking at him as he left the room. "Go on, make your move."
I raised an eyebrow, confused. "What do you mean?"
Shoto glanced at the door, a hint of shyness creeping into his demeanor. "They think we should talk about... everything. About us."
A rush of nervous excitement filled me. "Oh. Okay."
He stepped closer, the distance between us narrowing. "I want to be open about our relationship, not just with them, but with everyone. It's important to me that you're by my side."
My heart swelled at his words. "I want that too, Shoto. I want to be there for you."
He took a deep breath, his gaze steady. "Then let's do this together."
As we stood there, the warmth of the moment enveloping us, I felt a sense of hope for the future. Whatever challenges lay ahead—be it dealing with our families, fighting villains, or navigating our personal struggles—we would face them side by side. Together.
