"Okay, okay. What are you ordering?" She asks me, flashing me a toothy smile. I love her.
I know when I first saw her, I said love isn't real and all that shit but I truly believe in it now.
Ever since meeting her, I felt again. Without her, it's as if im stranded on a desert island, and my hope is her. My food and drink is her. She saved me in a way.
The wedding is going to be perfect.
Who would've thought? Me and Elizabeth, voluntarily getting married - we don't even have to sign any paperwork this time because we already did it way back ago.
"Helloooo?" Elizabeth waves her hand in front of my face. I must have zoned out.
"I don't know, whatever they have on the menu." I say, looking at the screen.
She goes to press the burger category, but the screen freezes, then turns off.
"Oh," I whisper, quiet enough so no one will hear.
"Yeah, oh. I guess we will have to order from the counter. " Elizabeth carelessly shrugs.
"I'm not speaking," I say in a serious tone.
"Valentino. Grow. Up."
I stay silent.
"Fine, I'll speak. Aren't you supposed to be a big scary mafia boss?"
"I am a big scary mafia boss."
"Really?"
I jokingly scoffed as we near the counter, a woman stood there. She chews gum ever so loudly, and her weight is shifted onto one leg.
"What d'you want??" She asks superciliously.
"Can I get a double cheeseburger, fries an-"
"Is that it?" The cashier interrupts her.
"Uhm, no. Fries and a big mac, more fries, then can we get two mcflurrys... oh, and two large cokes, please!" Elizabeth smiles at the very pissed off cashier.
"That's $20. Cash or card?"
I step forward in front of Elizabeth, "Cash."
I hand her a $50 bill, I don't carry massive bills like 100s, but I carry 50s.
"You can keep the change." I say.
But again, I see the similiar look in the cashiers eye what I saw in Natascha's.
Taking the table number from beside the register, we walk away from the brown and beige countertop. Finding a booth and sinking into the cracked leather seats.
"So, have you planned our wedding yet?" I ask. However, I don't even know if she's forgotten. Could she have thought I was joking?
Her face lights up, and her eyes are deep with love and happiness. The smile is so pure that it makes me feel warm inside.
She is so incredibly beautiful.
"Well... I tried! I got my dress... your suit, the cake, the place we are getting married, and the last thing I need is your guest list!"
"My guest list will consist of my main family, my families ties, and... oh and my" I clear my throat, a lump rising.
"Your who, Valentino?" She asks, confused.
"My brother."
"I didn't know you had another brother! Why didn't you tell me?" She leans over and plants a kiss on my lips, I think she can sense something being wrong with me, but she can't entirely see it.
